I have tried 3 or 4 other Spade games. This game is by far the most challenging and enjoyable. I can sit and play for hours. I enjoy the other Avatar's bidding Nil. When I bid Nil, my partner is able to follow my lead. The hand shuffles appear to be quite different each game. I have not noticed playing the same hand over again. In other games I have played they repeat hands over and over again. I love the special effects and how Avatars switch each game so you always have a different partner. Games are challenging and keep you on your toes. I would like to see other avatar's bid blind nil once in awhile. Otherwise this game is the best.

The ads are unobtrusive and playing offline with a partner feels like you’re playing with someone you’re in sync with. Great to get my skills up after not playing in a few decades. Tried several other apps and either the ads were super annoying or the look wasn’t very inviting. This one - I’m hooked. UPDATE: An annoying flaw I’ve found is if you bid Nil before partner bids and you have “swap cards” on, your AI partner doesn’t take into account the two cards you pass to it, whereas if a human partner saw you were swapping cards, they would probably up their bid a bit. Not taking the Nil swap into account when bidding ends up with under bidding by your partner and then you end up with excessive bags. Another flaw is it’s become obvious that the AI doesn’t totally get the nuances of the game. In the last game my partner bid 2. Imagine my surprise when it used the Ace, king and queen of spades! That’s an automatic 3 bid at least, since no other cards trump those if you hold them all.

I have been playing this game for quite a few years and really enjoy it. The characters are great and the gameplay skills of your opponents, overall are very good. The only issues I’ve found are that the three other players don’t adapt a refined strategy when you are nearing 500 and when you are bidding nil, your partner will sometimes pass a pair of low Spades, as if they are unaware that they are trump. I’m reticent to point these out as the overall game is excellent and I will continue to subscribe yearly. Thanks for a great game!

I’d like to say I love it since I’m an Oregonian (Eugene), and you started in Grants Pass. I began about 30 years ago. I think you were brand new, and I met a nice gal. (Her player name was Lily and I was Annie). We became card/pen pals playing cards constantly and sharing gifts. She was Louisiana and me Oregon. Here we are today. Still connected. After 30 years! My only negative is that people join games, get pizzed off and QUIT, constantly. Trying to get a decent rating and playing with “regular NICE” people is impossible. It’s too easy to “up and quit”. I’d like to have a serious and NICE game. Just saying. I’ve met people here who have since DIED. it could be a legacy but too many creepy weird ways to up-end a game. No real challenge…no way to get a decent rating. Come on, you guys. You’ve done so much with this game, surely you can make my dream game happen!
