This app is otherwise amazing to use but I just don’t want to constantly see that recalibration request always coming up on my phone. There needs to be an automatic recalibration feature for this phone, instead.

The GPS Compass app has a critical privacy violation that conflicts with Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines, specifically section 5.1.2 on user consent and tracking.1. The app’s setting “Allow the sale or sharing of my data” is enabled by default (preselected), which means users are opted in to data sale/sharing without their explicit consent. This directly violates Apple’s requirement for explicit opt-in consent using the AppTrackingTransparency framework before any data tracking or sharing for advertising purposes.2. Apple policy strictly forbids apps from pre-enabling data sharing or tracking options. Users must be presented with a clear, unambiguous choice to opt in. The GPS Compass app does not comply with this.3. The app claims in its screenshots that users can opt out, but the actual in-app experience shows forced or preset opt-in to data sale/sharing, which is misleading and deceptive.4. This violates Apple’s commitment to user privacy and transparency. Allowing sale or sharing of user data by default without clear, upfront permission endangers user trust and privacy.5. Due to these violations, the GPS Compass app should be immediately removed or suspended from the App Store until it fully complies with Apple’s privacy and consent guidelines.

Simple and readily available ; only suggestion is that they stop with window declaring that I need to wave phone around in figure eight motion to recalibrate that window never seems to go away so it’s more of a nuisance than a real issue for me.

Love how this app keeps track of my current position as to which direction I’m heading. I live where there are mostly backroads with lots of mountains and hills and grazing pastures, so easy to get lost, but with this app, I’m able to maintain my destination.
