Make Way for Books, a nonprofit organization, has nearly three decades of experience helping families and educators build critical early literacy skills to prepare for success in school and in life. Our activities and content are based on science and designed to be engaging, culturally relevant, and developmentally appropriate.
The new updates gives me more way to share the free books and activities with my niece and nephews. The books are fun and even interesting enough for adults. Love that I can switch between English and Spanish too!

This is so great! I work with preschool teachers and found this as such a great resource to share with families. The app is FREE! and the book illustrations are gorgeous! So glad I found this during the summer and was able to include it the back to school info we share with families
Love it and need more titles

Other family members and I who use the app would love to see more titles and book options. This is a great resource but it’s so important to keep adding!
Our biggest update yet, this new version of the app introduces a new feature we call, “Learning Levels,” which delivers three-times more recommended questions, conversation-starters, and fun activities than previously offered on the app and is accessible in bite-size amounts each time you revisit a story.
New accessibility options allow users to tailor their reading experience by giving the option to toggle between languages while actively reading without interrupting the immersive reading experience, change the book’s text size, and enable a new dyslexia font option, for those who need it.
The new introductory tutorial has been revised to show families how to make the most of the new features on the Make Way for Books App.
