Simple, cheap, and does the job

Just the primary instruments plus the tach. Van extremely useful tool for initial ifr practice and the instrument portion of ppl training. It even has inop instrument challenges where the attitude indicator will slowly fail. Probably has other failing instruments I have not seen yet. Only reason not 5 stars is because I think it's missing a realistic lagging effect where the roll of the plane lags behind the control input. Otherwise it's great.

Compared to a full fledged flight simulator, this gives you immediately accessible bite-sized challenges , great for when you only got a few minutes to spare.

It helps develop and practice a good scan, and it teaches the most fundamental principle of Instrument flying: Attitude + Power = PerformanceLevel flight: half bar up + 2200 rpmAscent at 500fpm: 5 degrees up + 2400rpmDescent at 500fpm: 5 degrees down + 1800 rpmLevel turn: half bar up + 2300rpmBesides that, the game/challenge format of this app is brilliant, as it motivates IFR students to try harder.
