This update teaches Radio Play two new tricks: folding in half, and flipping through a schedule. On the new iPhone, the app reads across two pages. Unfold the phone and the player on the outer screen carries on to the right-hand page, while the left-hand page opens on the station’s schedule, or on the songs it just played. Your Library, the map and the schedules settle on either side of the fold, too. Half-open on a table, iPhone Duo becomes a radio with a tuning dial; stood up like a tent while a sleep timer runs, a bedside clock. The schedules of many stations now open from their station page, on iPhone and iPad alike: day by day, from a week back to a week ahead, as the stations publish them. On Radio France, a tap unfolds the shows that just ended, right above the one on air. Finally, in your Library, the Listening Journal keeps track of what you heard, and when. It remembers what you were listening to Monday at 8 a.m., and that memory never leaves your device.

Radio Play 27.1 adds the things a radio app should have done all along.
