Realistic but still misses the mark!
I don’t pay annual fees
I enjoy this simulator of flight, however its not very realistic in terms of how the planes fly. If you force a plane into a nose dive at the speed of sound, the wings will shear off, you try to use the rudder at top speed, it will fail. The problem for me on this game is not having more realistic consequences for pushing the plane in flight to do things its incapable to do in a real world situation. I would love that option to make you understand, planes can’t stay in the air if pushed beyond physics. Thanks

2017 update :Game quality goes through phases. It works for a while; then it fails. They do an upgrade. The upgrade is flawed; sometimes unplayable. A few months later, they do an upgrade. It works well. Then they do another - new planes, etc - now the input for joystick is totally unusable garbage. I can no longer play the game at all.When it works: the game challenges are fun and, with a joystick anyway, are doable. I achieved maximim rating on every single challenge. Hard & tricky but it can be done! When it doesn’t work: some features get confused with one another: -throttle use on joystick confuses flaps and locks them in step with speed; air brake in some ‘upgrades’ sticks so it is always half-on. Sometimes parts of certain windows don’t work so you can’t see what you need to see.I don’t know what these folks do for quality control - but some of these errors are so blatant its amazing they would release like this. About the 2nd upgrade I got - worked fine & so I did in-app purchases and now have an investment in it. Newer upgrades have deterioated performance. Same company does “Carrier Landings” It looks like it works on very same basic flight controls, commands, and likely, programming. That game has very very similar problems as this.My advice if you DO get it - as soon as there is a problem, get in touch with App Store and get a refund. (I haven’t yet, but was told by the company’s Tech Support that is my only option. They said they’d get back with me on my detailed description of the problems I was having, but they never did. They quit answering emails.)
Crashing—Won’t Open Anymore

Dowloaded Extreme Landings v 3.6.2 for my desktop using El Capitan in October. It was working a little a little over a month, then Kaboom. I purchased the F18, and the game worked fine. After I purchased the 4 plane pack (Business Jet, Old Glory, etc), I started having problems with the game freezing. Now, it won’t start at all. I’ve taken suggestions to open a new file, delete a possibly corrupted plist, and other things, but nothing is working. Looking at some of the other reviews, I see I’m not the only one experiencing this. There needs to be an update apparently.

It would be great if I could zoom on on the map on the flight planner in the menu, also, airplane limits, if you make it go to fast the wings will rip off, also for failures I would like to have it so I coukd specify what engines I want to break at a certain time what landing gear I would wnat to break at a certain time and all that stuff. otherwise this is great
