Pay attention to good lighting. Having a solid light source is an essential part of taking any kind of photograph, and selfies are no different. If you try to take a selfie in a dimly-lit room or one with harsh fluorescent lighting, it won't turn out the way you want it to. Natural light is the most flattering kind, so try to take your selfie near a window or outdoors.
This app used to be my absolute fave. However, after the most recent updates it was completely changed. Filters used to make my skin tone lovely and with the sparkles filter or flower filter, I had gorgeous pics. Now, these latest filters make people look completely Sci-fi. The app creators did a complete 360 and just ruined an awesome app. I will also go in search for another beauty app and remove this one. Hate to see what was a good thing go to waste.

For reasons I never understood, the previous paid version of this program, didn’t just give you the same program without adverts, but was actually a different, much worse program. Everything about the paid version was worse - most importantly the results. So even having paid for the ‘full version,’ I still used the Free Version, suffering the adverts, for the much (much) better photographic results. Suddenly however, the Free Version has been ‘updated’ to the same core rubbish as the previous paid version. And there is no way to restore the previous version. So basically, what was the best photo enhancement software available, has been totally destroyed. Total insanity. All that was needed was to offer the previous free version without the adverts, for a paid version, and everyone would have been happy. I hope the developers do exactly that, because this version is pure garbage. What a waste! Makes no sense at all.

Firstly, the photos they show in the App Store of this app are completely false. Those features and screens do not exist in this app. The newest updates, the ones that include the stupid hair color feature, which takes you to a whole new app or add-on, and the corny animal and nonsense filters (that are much better on snap and don’t belong here) is HORRIBLE. The thin face feature now gives you bug eyes, the other cool filters are completely gone (stars, flowers, etc) and the retouching isn’t even as good. Until/unless they change back, I’ll have to find a different selfie filter app :(

I love this app, just wish I could buy it because I hate, hate, hate the ads. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for all the ads! (After every pic!) my pics are great, although my husband gets mad at me when we take selfies and have to wait for the ad to go away LOL
