1+1 Calculator: Tape & Tip
Scientific, VAT & split bills
$19.99 · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
New: a Binary calculator that shows the bits. Pick 8 to 64 bits, signed or unsigned, tap a bit to flip it, and see every carry worked out step by step.
1+1 Calculator does the math and shows its work.
Most calculators hand you an answer and forget it. This one keeps a running tape on the main screen — every expression and every result, with correct operator precedence — so you can check your reasoning, catch the slip, and tap any earlier answer to bring it back down.
EVERYDAY MATH
• An always-on tape, so you see the steps and not just the total
• Calculators in tabs to keep separate jobs apart — name them, and each one works on its own
• A scientific mode with trig, logs, powers, roots and parentheses
• Binary for bits and bytes: 8- to 64-bit words, signed or unsigned, AND / OR / XOR / NOT and shifts, with every carry worked out
• VAT / GST: enter net, tax or gross and get the other two instantly, at a starting rate you can edit
• Tip & split: enter the bill, pick a tip, split it across the table
• A memory bank for the values you keep reaching for
MONEY, LOOKING AHEAD
• Budget and trip-budget planners for what you actually spend
• An interest calculator that shows how savings compound
• A FIRE calculator to estimate your path to financial independence
MADE FOR iPhone AND iPad
• A warm, modern design with eight color themes
• System, Light or Dark, however you like it
• Two calculators side by side on iPad
• Hardware keyboard support, and a Control Center button to launch straight in (iOS 18 or later)
Free includes every calculator, one clean tab at a time. Infinity — a one-time purchase, or a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription — keeps every tab unlocked, gives you a tape up to 10,000 calculations deep, all eight themes, and two calculators side by side on iPad.
