Sleeper app with great support and active development

I've been testing this app for awhile and am amazed at what it can do. I'm really shocked there is not more activity in the reviews. Lots of slots for plugins, but it's also a great host for Waves StudioRack which can chain and mix multiple plugins as well. It seems to be geared more toward live streaming, but you could mix live events with it as well. It could definitely benefit from some tweaks to the interface for the live audio use case, butit's being actively developed and version 5 has lot's of great features coming. I'm sure I sound like a shill, but I really just want to encourage people to give it a shot, and in turn, encourage the developer, LoudLabs, to push its capabilites even further.
I hoped this app existed and it does!

Coming from an overpriced UAD sound card I wanted something similar to its "Console" but compatible with any soundcard and that's exactly what this is. Moreover, I want to be liberated from those crazy priced plug-ins and use any AU plugin for sound design and this delivers! The good news is this is that app I hoped existed but far superior. In fact, it's far better than Console as it is Mac like, has a far better UI design, is very stable thus far, very intuitive, has all the power I need and most importantly is not constantly kernel panicing my M1 like UAD's solutions were.
Insanely powerful

I really did NOT expect this app to be this good. It's insane the number of features it has. I am using this to mix live drums (8 mics) from my Behringer Audio Interface before sending to the house. This way when I travel, no matter how competant (or not) the house audio engineer is, I can send a signal I know sounds right.
Responsive developer -- great improvement

Initially I had a number of problems getting SoundDesk to work in my environment, i.e. many inputs and output spanning 4 different interfaces, all from different vendors. I also do a lot with mono chnnels and need multiple buses to allow partial mixing in real-time. I reported my issues and all of them were fixed. It is working great now. My only concern is the lack of documentation with even the simplest "how to". Yes, I was able to figure it out ... after the bugs were fixed. Guessing at how something works when there are other things stopping things from working. This is the reason for the four stars instead of 5. Regardless, this software definitely has potential for a 5-star rating and it seems to be heading in that direction.
• Bug fixes and improvements.
