Hi there, and congrats on the major rewrite!In the most recent update (version 2.7 build 3), the app doesn’t work at all without access to motion & fitness settings, which I don’t enable for privacy reasons. Would it be possible to add a setting option that would disable whatever new functionality requires access to motion&fitness? The app worked well enough for my purposes without it. Thanks.

Unfortunately, Apple no longer allows access to the barometer with motion and fitness turned off. It’s a requirement in the latest version of iOS so any future versions of Barograph going forward need to request this permission. ;(I think the reason is the intended use of the barometer is to track elevation on hikes and Apple doesn’t really consider the weather use case. The Barometer is actually part of the “CoreMotion” library.I promise you that I don’t collect any information related to motion and fitness. I only request the permission to collect Barometer data. And unless you use the sea level feature, I won’t request location permissions.Please email me if you want to discuss it in more detail.

I guess I never thought in my lifetime that keeping track of a Barometer reading would become so important for my Health! But it has and finding an App that could help me was not easy to find! Then my friends I stumbled upon this app and found it to be a Unique Outstanding Design App! The Developer has put a lot of Hard Work Time Sweat and yea Love into the coding of this software! And it shows with all the updates that have been made to keep up with the Technology that keeps changing every single Hour Minutes and Seconds of the Day! This app is truly accurate in its Data and I think my friends that you should Definitely download this app and give it a try ! I don’t believe you will be sorry. Vital tool!

First, I’m not the traditional user of this app. I’ve been using it to track the the pressure and changes throughout the day and week and how it effects my migraines. This has been a simple and vital tool in helping to prepare as well as give “reason” to why symptoms of migraine randomly start to crop up. “Oh look! The pressure has changed dramatically! No wonder I feel awful!”Along with this I’ve been able to see the elevation difference between home, work, in-laws (never pressure there 🤪), and vacation locations. My only wish would be a way to zoom in on the table to see the data. My chart is rather large since I don’t refresh or close the app.

Glad to know you find the app useful! The way I was using it I would just reset it from time totem but I see that does not work for everybody. I was thinking about maybe adding a "1 day" zoom view of the chart as an option of people looking interesting in looking more recent data/trends. would that be useful?

I find it amazing that they’re still working on this app after so many years. I first tried it back in 2013 or 2014. It’s great to see a modern user interface and the new style of home screen which they recently added. The best thing about this app is it measures the pressure in the background. I don’t get data every minute of the day, but I get enough data points during the day that I always have an idea of the pressure trend and I can spot storms before they hit.

•Added a fixed offset option in settings. This will not affect the saved data, only the chart display.
•Added better error reporting when there's and data or Motion & Fitness is disabled.
•Improved the data storage system and optimized performance by downsampling when there's too much data on screen at once. This does not affect saved data - only the data displayed on screen. You can always export all raw data to CSV.
