MakeFit: Body Age Tracker
VO2 Max, Readiness & Recovery
Free · In‑App Purchases
Your workouts are changing your biological age. MakeFit shows you exactly how.
Every session, every night of sleep, every rest day — tracked and scored against your Body Age, a real-time fitness indicator built from VO2 max estimates, heart rate recovery, sleep consistency, strength volume, and training zone distribution.
JOIN YOUR COMMUNITY
Compare your biological age and aging rate on shared leaderboards. See who's improving fastest. Get personalized recommendations based on real health data, not algorithms optimized for engagement.
DAILY READINESS & RECOVERY
Vitals scores combine sleep quality (duration, efficiency, consistency) with daytime recovery signals so you know whether to push or rest before you start.
TRAINING THAT ADAPTS
The workout recommender adjusts daily and weekly targets to your actual recovery state — cardiovascular, strength, and rest balanced against your fitness trend, not a fixed plan.
AI FITNESS COACH — FULLY ON DEVICE
On supported devices with Apple Intelligence, your health coach processes everything locally. Nothing leaves your phone. No cloud, no profile, no exposure.
ADVANCED WORKOUT ANALYSIS
Heart rate zones, training distribution, heart rate recovery curves, 42-day fitness trend with projection. Every metric feeds back into Body Age.
SLEEP DEFICIT TRACKING
Cumulative 3-day sleep deficit model with visual alert. Bedtime notifications use fresh, context-aware data — not a fixed schedule.

Developer Response Hi, just making it clear that this is for an much older version, from basically ten years ago, that was using Pebble watch to sync, if you remember that wonderful thing. Has nothing to do with the current version of the app, absolutely no code is being shared. Completely different MakeFit, just name share.

Great app for tracking workouts I have a Bluetooth heart rate monitor it it seemly connected to the watch for easy phone less HR viewing. I searched for an hour trying to find an app with this functionality and this I the only one I found that was free.

When your Body Age is due
While MakeFit is still learning your data, it shows the day your first Body Age estimate is due and reminds you once.
Fairer capacity on quieter days
With little Health data, today's capacity no longer fills up after a short walk.
Honest fitness with missing heart rate
When workouts lack heart-rate data, Fitness keeps your last level instead of dropping to 0%.

Fixes
Better layouts on bigger screens and iPhone Duo, clearer subscribe wording, and faster sleep loading.
4.5.1 4d ago
Activity toward today's capacity
Each morning MakeFit sets how much your body can take today, from readiness, training load, Body Battery and vitals. Home shows how far along you are.
A lever that follows your day
Today's Lever skips hard efforts on a lighter day and rests on a recovery day.
A simpler Activity tab and a calmer Home
One ring toward today's capacity, clearer type throughout, and a Fitness Target card that says what its number means.
Fixes
Your wake time now lands on a 10 minute grid, and the sleep schedule card matches the rest of Home.
4.5.0 Oct 21
Your full trend history
Body Age and Rate of Aging now go back a year, two years or more. Open Body Age, then Trends, then "View full history".
Easier chart reading
Drag across the Rate of Aging chart to follow it week by week.
A fairer overnight recharge
Body Battery now recharges at the same rate for everyone, so a short night no longer counts as a full refill.
Recovery HRV
MakeFit reads the new overnight Recovery HRV from Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4. It does not affect your scores yet.
Fixes
Older workouts stay complete after a refresh, the app launches faster, and a new What's New screen shows what changed after each update.
4.4.6 Oct 14
Your full fitness streak
"Days in target" now counts your whole run, not just the last 43 days, and stays put when you reopen the app. Long streaks show as 180+.
A more accurate training reserve
After a workout, today's reserve no longer reads too low.
A clearer Home
With little Apple Health data, Home now says what's missing instead of showing empty cards.
Fixes
Older workouts stay after a refresh, workouts deleted in Apple Health disappear, and a time-zone crash is fixed.
4.4.5 Oct 9
Built for Apple Watch MakeFit now says up front what it needs: your Apple Watch history in Apple Health. iPhone alone gives a partial picture.
An honest first Body Age If Apple Health doesn't have enough history yet, MakeFit builds your baseline first instead of guessing. You'll see your Body Age as soon as there's enough data to stand behind it.
Clearer Home Rate of Aging and your daily plan now tell you what they need instead of loading forever.
Fixes Your Body Age no longer drops when a reading briefly fails at launch, two launch freezes are fixed, and your Apple Watch streak shows the right number.
4.4.4 Oct 8
A faster start
Getting to your Body Age takes fewer steps: tell us what you want most, allow Apple Health, and see your number.
Your first step
Alongside your Body Age, MakeFit now shows your biggest opportunity with a concrete target you can act on today.
A clearer Pro offer
See exactly how the free week works before you start. Prefer to stay free? Just close the offer. Bought on the web? Sign in right from the offer.
Clearer fitness guidance
Your Fitness focus now reflects where you actually are, and race-readiness is judged relative to your own fitness.
Fixes
Reinstalling MakeFit now asks for Apple Health access again, taking your time on Apple's Health screen no longer shows an error, and we fixed a crash that could happen on iOS 27 right after allowing Health access.
4.4.3 Oct 1
A smoother start
Getting started is faster and clearer: MakeFit waits until your Body Age is ready, asks for Health access just once, and never gets stuck along the way.
A steadier Body Age
If Apple Health is briefly slow to share your data, your Body Age now stays put instead of jumping and snapping back. MakeFit double-checks before it changes your number.
A breakdown you can trust
The Body Age breakdown always matches the age you see.
Subscriptions, in sync
Subscriptions and renewals made outside the app now sync reliably with your MakeFit account. There's nothing you need to do.
4.4.2 Sep 29
A steadier MakeFit
This update makes the app smoother and more dependable, especially in the first moments after you open it.
Today's Session stays put
Open MakeFit right after unlocking your iPhone and your session is there, instead of a blank card while your Health data becomes available.
Smoother start
Fewer brief freezes when the app opens.
Your subscription, in sync
Pro subscriptions now sync reliably with your MakeFit account. If yours hadn't synced yet, it will next time you open the app. There's nothing you need to do.
4.4.1 Sep 25
Built for iOS 27
MakeFit now takes advantage of iOS 27 and watchOS 27.
Smarter chat
On iOS 27 the on-device assistant works with twice the context, so longer conversations stay coherent and summaries aren't cut short.
Your Health history, all of it
iOS 27 lets you share only recent Health data with an app. MakeFit needs about six months to compute Body Age, so it now tells you when the sharing window is too short and takes you straight to the right place in Apple Health.
Zones that agree everywhere
Workouts recorded with the MakeFit watch app on watchOS 27 store MakeFit's heart-rate zones inside the workout, so Apple Health and MakeFit show the same zone time.
Ask Siri
Ask for today's session, your readiness, last night's sleep, your Body Age or your fitness level, and MakeFit answers from the values already on your cards. Shortcuts can open today's session too.
Start from your wrist
Start MakeFit's guided workout from the Action button, the Workout app or Siri on your watch. It won't start a second workout while one is running or being restored.
Built for large text
Health Monitor, Vitals, Body Battery, Home and Chat stay readable at the largest accessibility text sizes.
Fixed
- Today's Lever no longer switches its recommendation a few seconds after you open the app; it loads with the rest of Home and shows today's pick once it is ready.
- A rest day seeded from a transient weekly reading no longer stays pinned all day.
- Removed old compatibility code; the app now requires iOS 26 and watchOS 26.
4.4.0 Sep 17
Tidier accounts, truer days
A small fix-only update from a top-to-bottom code review.
Your account stays yours
Signing out now also signs you out of Communities, and switching accounts on the same phone never shows the previous member's leaderboard row. Your Pro status can no longer change because of a server reply that belonged to an earlier sign-in.
Time-zone changes take effect right away
Change your Home Time Zone in Profile and your history, Body Battery and training-load days move with it immediately, no relaunch needed.
Chat that behaves
The assistant finishes one answer before taking the next question, clearing a chat really clears it, and in community chat your just-sent message stays put while a refresh completes.
Fixed
- Signing out clears your Communities session too.
- Leaderboards never show a previous account's row after switching accounts.
- Pro status is only updated by the account that requested the check.
- Home Time Zone edits re-date history immediately.
- Calendar dots no longer revert to pre-sync data while a workout syncs.
- Clearing an AI chat mid-reply no longer restores the reply on next launch.
- Community chat messages no longer vanish or reappear after a late refresh.
- Sharing a card is slightly faster.
- The account step of onboarding no longer shows a white border.
4.3.3 Sep 8
Smoother syncs, steadier sign-in
A small update that fixes three things you may have felt without knowing why.
Your sign-in stays signed in
If you signed in more than three months ago, the app had quietly lost its connection to your account on the server and kept retrying a dead session every time you opened it. It now recognises that once, keeps your Pro status exactly as it was, and picks up a fresh session the next time you sign in.
No more hitch when your scale syncs
Every time Health received a new weight, body-fat, VO₂ max or resting heart rate reading, the app recalculated Body Age on the spot, and a scale or watch sync could trigger that several times in a row. It now waits a moment and recalculates once.
Community posts match your Workouts tab
The zone tag on an auto-posted workout (HR Low, HR High) could differ from what the Workouts tab showed for the same session. Both now use the same per-sample heart-rate resolution.
Fixed
- Community auto-post zone tags now match the Workouts tab.
- Accounts signed in over 90 days ago no longer retry a dead session on every launch.
- Body Age no longer recalculates repeatedly while a scale or watch is syncing readings.
- Behind the scenes, our diagnostics are quieter, so real problems get seen faster.
4.3.2 Sep 5
Faster, steadier, no freezes
This update is entirely about smoothness. We traced every freeze report from the field and fixed the causes, not the symptoms.
No more freezing after a workout
The app could lock up for 10–30 seconds — most often right after a workout synced or while Home refreshed. It was re-reading your entire cached heart-rate history once per workout, every time your watch training plan rebuilt. Now it reads once, and repeat reads are instant. The longer your workout history, the bigger the difference.
Come back to your numbers, not to blanks
If you left the app mid-refresh and came back later, it could "time out" the instant you returned — Body Age could lose its workout numbers and Readiness could go blank until the next refresh. Timers now pause with the app and restart fresh when you come back. What you had stays put.
Today's Lever, more dependable
If a refresh got parked while your data was still loading, the recommendation card could sit empty. It now notices and asks again on its own.
Fixed
- Freezes of 10–30 seconds after a workout sync or Home refresh.
- Returning after minutes or hours away no longer blanks Body Age or Readiness.
- Today's Lever no longer stays empty when a refresh was parked during loading.
4.3.1 Sep 1
Your Rate of Aging moves. Now MakeFit tells you why. The new "What Changed" card on the Body Age tab compares this week to last, metric by metric: "Zone 2-3 154 → 123 min/wk · Sleep Efficiency 94 → 93%". Pick Yesterday, 7 days, or 30 days — and on your very first launch, MakeFit rebuilds the last 30 days from Apple Health so the answer is there from day one.
Explore your history
In Body Age Explained, scrub the Rate of Aging chart to compare any point against the previous reading — the breakdown follows your finger.
Honest numbers, plainly explained
When your headline holds the day's best reading and the comparison uses the underlying computes, a plain sentence reconciles the two. No mystery rows, no unexplained math.
A calmer, more consistent Body Age tab
All three cards — Where It Comes From, What's Moving It, What Changed — now share one visual language.
Fixed
- The "Access Your Health Data" screen can no longer appear right after you granted access.
- Home fills in on the first launch after onboarding — no pull-to-refresh needed.
- Reinstalling with Health access already granted now still asks for age and sex when Apple Health lacks them.
- In maintaining, one session completes your day everywhere.

HR Recovery, rebuilt
HR Recovery is now measured once per workout — one robust one-minute recovery — and your number is the typical value across workouts. The old method read high. Expect your number to drop and Body Age to shift about a year with it. Nothing about you changed; the measurement got honest.
What's Moving It, clearer
Each Body Age driver shows its standing and its years separately — "HR Recovery, Thriving, −1.5 yrs".
Body Age you can trust
No headline from a partial read; big workout libraries no longer cut the read short; the widget stays in step while recalculating; closing the app mid-refresh no longer throws away six months of work.
Fixed
- Today's Lever and Progress could stay empty for a whole session after a workout or an update.
- A slow App Store check can no longer hide your Pro subscription; Restore Purchases says when it found nothing.
- Sign in with Apple on a slow connection no longer bounces you back to the button.
- Fitness streak can't be reset by a training load that is still syncing.
- The trial line no longer goes missing on the paywall; reopening mid-setup offers Continue.
4.3 Aug 24
HR Recovery, rebuilt
HR Recovery is now measured once per workout - one robust one-minute recovery - and your number is the typical value across workouts. The old method read high: one workout could count several times, and rest between sets counted as recovery. Expect your number to drop and Body Age to shift about a year with it. Nothing about you changed; the measurement got honest. Lifting and combat sports move the most.
What's Moving It, clearer
Each Body Age driver now shows its standing and its years separately - "HR Recovery, Thriving, -1.5 yrs" instead of one blended word.
Body Age you can trust
- No headline from a partial read: if your workout history didn't fully load, Body Age waits instead of showing a number 3-5 years off.
- Big workout libraries no longer cut the read short.
- The widget stays in step with the app while it recalculates.
- Closing the app mid-refresh no longer throws away six months of work.
Fixed
- Today's Lever and Progress could stay empty for a whole session right after a workout or an update. Now you get your real training load, minus only what your Watch hasn't synced yet, and it refines once the sync lands. If the day's first recommendation was built while that sync was still in progress, it is redrawn once when the real numbers arrive.
- Your Pro subscription can no longer be hidden by a slow App Store check. If the App Store doesn't answer promptly we keep what we last knew, and a purchase or restore takes effect from the receipt itself.
- Restore Purchases now tells you when it couldn't find a subscription instead of spinning.
- Sign in with Apple on a slow connection no longer bounces you back to the sign-in button, and "Continue without signing in" waits for a real answer before moving on.
- Fitness streak can't be reset by a training load that is still syncing.
- The "1-week free" trial line no longer goes missing on the paywall when eligibility loads slowly.
- Reopening mid-setup shows a Continue button instead of a bare "Restoring your setup" screen.
- Tidied Health permission wording and subscription pricing.
