FINALLY!
Deva@hawaii
Waited a long time . . . FINALLY DARK MODE MAC! (And hopefully DARK MODE IOS coming shortly. ) When I first saw Opus One arrive on the scene several years ago it looked promising. Loved the basic idea and format, the font adjustments (so frequently absent in many time managers, to do etc.) I downloaded the free non-syncing version and would play with it from time to time. As I watched the development, I kept my finegers crossed. My deal breaker was on a large Mac screen it was BLINDING - like walking out to the Beach without Sun Glasses. Not everyone, of course uses Dark Mode but if you do, going back is almost impossible. There was no way I could use it frequently every day. Last week I happen to see an update that mentioned Dark Mode on Opus One and a quick inquiry to the developers indicated IOS was close behind. That was a deal maker for me - One week in - it's beautiful. The integration of Calendar sync & input, next to daily tasks with a full page for daily notes replaces my former practice of jumping between differnet programs to effectively do and see those things the way I prefer them presented. Opus One does it all in one place. There are little subtle things too like moving all uncompleted tasks forward which has always been a hastle with other organizers I have used. Notes on any subject, Master Tasks for developing, outlining your mission & goals all in such an attractive binder form allowed me to commit to the only subscription sofware i own.

Changed My Life!
Dejasmiles
I am someone who has struggled for over 15 years to find a planner that works for me. I am self-employed and have to juggle many hats at once. I always knew I would benefit from excellent planning, but never had the right tool to help me. The best app I found before this was Things 3. I used it for 4 years and yes it was organized and helped me get things done but oh my GOD I hated using it! It was so bland and boring I never wanted to use it. I'm a visual learner and usually have to take a lot of notes for me to remember details. The way this planner is laid out is more than perfect for me! I love the design - it gives me all the feels of a paper planner I'd buy for myself, enough color to keep me interested, and plenty of space to write notes in different fonts and sizes. I can even add pictures which has been VERY helpful! I took time to fill out my mission statement and it truly does make my "why" for my tasks that much clearer and more powerful, and helps me sift through what's truly important and what is just "busy work" that I make up for myself. The most helpful feature of all for me has been the way the blocks in the calendar are laid out. I love that events can be color coordinated and sit next to each other. I have a one-year old so I have his normal everyday schedule there, and then I can very easily plan my tasks around his nap and lunch times by dragging them to the empty spaces. This has been worth its weight in gold because I was struggling to balance being a mommy, business owner, and wife. To see my plans visually in this way is life changing.

Opus One is Fantastic!
Pajica
Opus One is unlike any other app in the productivity category. What makes it completely unique is its emphasis on life leadership rather than just project or task management. If all you’re looking for is a simple way to list your things to do, there are many lighter programs to accomplish that. But if you want a comprehensive program that does a deep dive into exploring and connecting how your life mission and personal values determine your goals and projects, and how those help to create life balance, positive motivation, and steady progress toward life success, this is the only program I have ever seen that accomplishes all that. The structure is similar to a very popular paper organizer that includes tabs for the most important aspects of an organized life. Starting with defining mission and values, Opus One walks you through the process, step-by-step with great tutorials, so that by the time you’re finished, you have identified what’s most important to you in the various roles you play, how you want to express that through projects and goals, and how to break those down using a weekly “compass” and daily to-do’s to keep you on track to achieving a sane, balanced life. A very reasonable yearly subscription is required to access all the features I mention above, but one fee opens the app on all devices and I have found its value in terms of increased focus and productivity well worth the price.

A Great To-Do List Calendar Hybrid
saraapowers
I’ve been using this app for several years and it’s got so many features that make it easy to use and a good way for me to keep track of multiple areas of my life. The way the app allows you to sync multiple calendar (e.g., google, apple, etc.) is a great way for me to get a holistic view of my week. It also has an awesome way to keep track of tasks and things I need to get done. You can assign various task items to personalized categories and you can even assign them to roles/goals that you are working on long-term. There is also a section called “master tasks” which allows me to have long-term tasks or tasks that are not so urgent, centralized, but not necessarily showing up on my day to day list of tasks. One of my favorite features by far is the ability to drag and drop tasks directly on to your calendar. This helps me to block off time to work on those specific tasks on the day that I assign them. You can also set recurring tasks to help remind you to pay bills and can set due dates for tasks, to help you keep track of when things are due. This app really is what you make it! There is so much customization available that you can tailor its features to your needs. Gave it 4 stars because the phone version of the app is harder to use, but I usually just use it on my laptop.
This is a major update introducing a new way to organize your thoughts and records.
• New: Journal
