MoleculeSketch is a simple and easy to use drawing App for chemical formulas and reactions. MoleculeSketch M is the standalone version of MoleculeSketch for macOS. It has following features: + add atoms and bonds nicely by position locking (can be disabled) + choose different bond types (double, stereochemical, delocalised, etc.) + add bonds with higher hapticity + type functional groups by double-clicking on symbol + show missing hydrogen atoms depending on free valences + "grow" and remove hydrogen atoms + show non bonding electron pairs on heteroatoms + add reaction arrows and text fields + access drawing attributes from popover panels + calculate average mass and formula of molecules + group and arrange objects + change background color of drawing area and add a grid + copy/paste/cut molecules and drawings + paste drawings into other applications as pdf drawing + import from mol/sdf files + use trackpad gestures for zooming and rotation

So I've been using this program for almost 2 years now and I love the new update. I'm a chemistry student and using ChemSketch in class was difficult since I couldn't use it on my laptop, since I've had Molecult Sketch, it does the same things and then some. Thank you for keeping up with the updates!! Sincerely one very content and stressed chemistry student. :)

As many Mac users are likely aware, there aren’t many good free options for chemical drawing software for the Mac. This software gets the job done for a great price! Are the structures as polished as the high-priced software? No. Double bonds in rings are a bit wonky looking. But, for $2.99, it is fantastic. Free web-based alternatives such as Marvin JS in Chemicalize isn’t easy to use or doesn’t have all of the needed functionality (e.g., including common functional groups like NO2). This app does it. The app does exactly what I need it to do, and it has been reasonably easy to pick up on for someone who has quite a bit of experience with a number of other chemical drawing software titles over the years.

When I found this program, I immedaitely downlaoded it because I was desperate to find a program that could easily design complex organic molecules for my laboratory papers. For 4 years of my undergraduate career, I used this application religiously, and it was literally decreased my anxiety when it came to drawing molecules. I was even able to use this program for my inoragnic reserach presentations. I would highly recomend anyone going into Natural Sciences degree/career in getting this application.

The unexpected bug could be removed after some tinkering. Let's keep our fingers crossed that the new bond drawing mechanism is now working.
