Playing Second Life and you would like to know which of your friends are online before you launch the application? With Second Life Notifier, you can track who's getting online and offline without having to login Second Life. Second Life Notifier doesn't merely display a list of online friends. By extracting the information from the Second Life website, it can maintain its own list of who's online, providing the ability to alert you when one of your friend gets online or offline. Plus, with the optional inworld server that you can buy for only L$500, you can monitor your land, find who is in range, broadcast messages, send messages, eject undesirable people and much more.
NOTE: the server is needed to send messages to your friends in Second Life. However, the server is only guaranteed to work on land you purchased directly from Linden Lab. If you purchase land from 3rd parties, it may or it may not work. If you are renting land, it may or may not work. It depends on the permissions given to you by your landlord. Since this is a no-transfer object, no refund will be given. Keep in mind that messages you send to your friends will appear in their main chat window, NOT in the IM window.

This app was working great the first few years. I moved in Real Life and now the app won’t show friends online anymore but I do get the new URL in my email. My old RL house used Spectrum and never any issues. My new house is with AltaFiber and that’s seems to be when it stopped working to show friends online. No setting were changed except the internet/WiFi provider. Hey Creators—please suggest a fix. I’ve looked everywhere for help and there’s nothing found.

I love this app have been using it for years now, I’m still confused on why it says that my avatar is on my land when I’m not online anymore, I can send a message to someone if they are on my land but, can’t seem to send individual messages to people, it’s kind of annoying if I want to send messages to individuals. Otherwise it’s a great app.Edit:I think the app needs to be updated, I haven’t been able to see who’s online in about two weeks now. It just keeps giving me the refresh symbol but nothing seems to work right.

Ive not received any URL when I open and try to log in on SL. Notifier. I only purchased it to send messages when I could not log in world. These people need to give detailed instructions on how to find a Server URL. Most of us are point and click folks. Apple.... can you communicate with these people ""? Cause otherwise this app is a SCAM! Caveat. The SL server will only work on land you purchased directly. From Linden lab. Server costs 500L. Ok folks pass this one by or consider that you’ve probably lost ur .99 cents

Friends’ List Checker - counts for something!

I use this app to see who is online from my friends’ list. People I wanna hang out with? Good, I can log in via my Firestorm viewer on the laptop. Nobody interesting? I just saved time by not logging in and dealing with IMs from people I’m not in the mood to talk to. As long as you don’t care about any of the other things advertised, then it works like a charm. It would be nice to see who’s in range, but it doesn’t do that for me. It’s also be nice to IM friends like the old MetaVerse app used to, but the app crashes if I try. Not sure if it works if you own land cause I don’t, so read other reviews for that.Four stars - missing star just from the app’s description apparently causing confusion over slurl’s and added functionalities.
