I have actually never written a review on an app before... But this new update made me so furious that I had to. This app was always glitchy and buggy but you could at least use it (somewhat) reliably to get the OBD trouble codes and the live data from your vehicle (best part). I actually went and bought the Bosch Bluetooth adapter just so I could use this app. However with this latest update, everything shuts off the second vehicle is moving rendering it absolutely useless for diagnosing any problems or any LIVE data whatsoever. (The genius responsible for letting this slide obviously has ZERO knowledge about vehicles in general but has absolutely NO business designing/developing an app for the automotive industry.) Several apps out there that would put this one to shame before... much less now. Absolutely unacceptable Bosch. Save yourself the time and the headache and download “OBD Fusion” or something similar. You pay for it but the functionality and abilities it gives you is worth every single penny... learn from my mistake.

I absolutely hate the new update. This OBD reader basically serves me no purpose for live data tracking anymore since you removed that option if the vehicle is moving. I have no way to diagnose issues while I have vehicles on the dyno now. Is there a way I can revert back to the previous version? Otherwise I’m tossing this in the trash where it belongs. This is seriously frustrating and I feel I wasted my money as it’s incredibly useless to do live data tracking when your car is idling. Why would you do that? Why would you literally ruin a product without testing the public’s reaction first. You have a pile of upset customers right now, was it worth it? Change it back and make your customers happy. This update blows and I know you know there’s ways around lawsuits. (Just put it in the fine print and make them hit accept dude).

To whom it may concern,Upon the first purchase of my Bosch mobile scan tool it was handy being able to interpret and diagnose, repair, look at my live engine diagnostics, abs codes, air bag codes, clear codes, etc. I was pleased with the purchase as it performed as was described by the literature that came with. After spending the money for enhanced features on the tool (prior to the features being made available for free) it was a handy item to have while running diagnostics on my vehicles. Due to the good experience I originally had with the scan tool (‘scam’ tool) I understandably recommended it to all of my friends who do their own maintenance and repair for a convenient diagnostic tool and many of them even purchased their own. (One of my friends just purchased his and after the new update is having the same issues) It’s a shame I’m a construction specialist and do not sit behind a desk for a living because after the latest update (yep... thanks Bosch RD department..) the tool is at best a nice paper weight but nothing more due to the inability to even connect to any of my vehicles. I reaffirm that statement by saying it is now completely useless. Sure wish I could have ALL of the money back that I had to spend to purchase the enhanced services on the mobile device so I could at least go buy a foreign knock off so I could at least run diagnostics on my vehicles....After reading everyone’s reviews online and realizing my problems are the exact same I’m very disappointed in Bosch!I’ll make sure to pass the word along to my friends at work who I unfortunately talked into buying the same item and are experiencing the same issues as me. Bought mine a while back , works well , phone died and I did a restore but couldn’t get my purchases back , went to check and now they are free and this fine BUT loosing the tool as soon as the car moves just KILLS ME , you have lost the graphing ability to check for intermittent issues when in motion , real downer. Plus someone stole my Caddy radio and took my fuel gauge with it , I was using this as a fuel gauge , now it’s a real pain. It’s always had a problem staying on a certain car , now it has to be unplugged every time you need to use it, on my car I have to stand on my head to find the plug. Please put it back where it works , it was so handy using it as an engine monitor underway . I miss my old working toolm
