In order to correctly present HDR colors on non-HDR displays, Quick Player X provides the function of converting HDR to SDR. If your built-in display or external display supports HDR, you can turn off this feature.
The bit rate of HDR video is high. To avoid freezing during playback, please make sure that HDR video is stored in a high-speed storage device and directly connected to the computer with a high-speed cable.
There are minimum requirements to play 4K 60FPS video. Most Mac models produced after 2019 should be fine.

The description says this app will switch audio in a video, I can find it anywhere, nor is that any support that I can find for help?Very strange. I thought this was Quicktime from Apple, apparantly not, but a cheap trick. Beware!

If your video file contains multiple audio tracks, this app can indeed switch audio tracks through the menu [Setting -> Audio -> Track] or the shortcut key "A".
Lacks Quick Control

This media player really appealed to me. I like the slick look of it, but it requests access to the folder of the media clip I play each time I select a file. I cannot just play without granting access. I also feel the menus can be shorted. There are menus inside menus, and this creates lack of quick control.

Quick Player X needs to access the folder to automatically search for related resources (episodes, subtitles, etc). Each menu has a corresponding shortcut key. You can use the shortcut keys for quick control.

Opens the files I need, and nice navigation. However, changing the speed (something I do with most videos) chages the pitch -- creating the Chipmunks effect. Fix that and this is 5 stars.
