Helium Streamer enables you to playback your personal music collection on your iOS device. It streams music from Helium Streamer on your PC. This application is ideal if you want to listen to your Helium music collection away from your PC. It uses the Wi-Fi connection to receive streamed music from Helium from anywhere in and around your home and 3G/4G if you are out and about. Helium Streamer enables the playback of Playlists, Searches and User Favourites. Details of the currently playing track are shown; as is information about the playing track's artist. Helium Streamer interacts with Helium Streamer's in-built Web Service to stream and download music to the device. I was excited to use this to sync up with my computer and be able to rate songs from my phone and listen to flac files. However, I regret to inform that the app is very limited in format support. It seems only to successfully stream MP3. Even my AAC file won't play. The linking up with helium music manager does work. Ratings do sync back and forth, but what is the point when most formats are unplayable. It is also a very clunky interface. Hard to tell what is downloaded and what is streamed. Last but not least, as near as I can tell there is no way to shuffle a playlist. You are stuck using clunky music queue feature. In short the app is unusable which sadly means that the entire helium music manager is unusable for me since good mobile support is essential.

The app is rebuilt from scratch. This version is compatible with the latest version of Helium Streamer, version 8, installed on your PC.
