“Envelope” Function Works Sporadically by Design
rikfriday
I used this App for a year or so, and then with the last update, which was forced on my computer, the App oddly refuses to let you use the “envelope” unless you pay $99 now and then.. It seems to allow “Envelope” use randomly even though it does not say “Pro” version only on this function… which seems strange… it’s like in the early days of computers, people would put annoying “pause” functions on free software just to annoy people who don’t pay right away.

We are sorry for any frustration this has caused. The free version of our product has some demo features but many functions are available completely free forever. Great editing app, wish they had a personal version
Bjrubble
I had some poor-quality recordings of some family members that I needed to clean up, and this app worked great! The feature where you can sample a snippet of audio and make a filter out of it is amazing -- my recordings had a lot of background noise, so I sampled the background noise and filtered that from the rest of the recording, and voices that were barely audible before are now incredibly clear.I would absolutely pay for this feature, but the full app is way more powerful (and way too expensive) for my needs. Which is too bad.
Refreshingly simple and capable

It seems so rare to find an app that strikes just the right balance between offering the capability you need, but also being easy to use right off the bat. I wanted something simple for trimming and amplifying recordings of bird calls, something which can be surprisingly irritating to figure out in some complex audio editors, but in WavePad it was simple and intuitive. The automatic suggestions were helpful, even when not exactly what I wanted, in introducing relevant features. Very impressed.
Mobile Version Better than Computer Version
DarkestJay868
Don’t get the wrong idea, I love Wavepad and it definitely helps me when I’m adjusting audio, but it’s very frustrating that I can only use it on my phone. Paid $15 on the mobile version no problem, works fine. However, I wanted to try using it on the computer because it’s a pain to rely on my phone when the music app isn’t always playing my songs. It went from paying $15 to not being able to restore that purchase or features and asking to pay $100 instead? That’s ridiculous that mobile version is $15 and computer version is $100. Recommend this app if you’re using it on your phone, it’s absolutely horrible for computer though.

Hello,WavePad mobile and WavePad for Mac are designed with different objectives in mind. Mobile is for on the go editing and easy to use features, while the Mac Version is more robust and able to do much more technical editing. If you'd like, we do have a free version of WavePad for Mac that you can use when you aren't editing on your phone. We hope this helps. If not, please feel free to contact our support team for more information: http://www.nch.com.au/support/supportcontact.html?software=WavePad-NCH Software Team
