This app is just what I need, unfortunately it's very unreliable. Sometimes when you add a drink the caffeine doesn't show up. Sometimes when you add water it doesn't show up. Today I drank 4 X 17oz water. The 4 showed up in the journal but only added to 51oz in the total and on the Watch. I deleted a couple from the log and it showed -17oz of hydration. Also, the app doesn't work right with HealthKit. Add a 67mg caffeine beverage and increment it to 134mg … only 67mg shows up in Apple Health. Argh! Did I pay for this?
Does what you need and does it very well!

There is a lot to love with this app for anyone needing to taper off caffeine. First off, the Apple Watch app is flawless in design and even has a round 'complication' you can add to your watch faces. Secondly, it syncs with HealthKit which is a bare necessity these days. I only wish the sync between HealthKit and the watch was smoother but this could be an Apple bug. Also the database isn't too extensive but it is really easy to add a custom drink or supplement.I guess going forward if the developers wanted to expand they could add other stimulants of abuse like ephedrine or adderall but why make it more complicated because HealthKit integration means all apps can share data and they each focus on one specific area then combine and create categories to compare. For example, a sleep tracking app like Pillow should be able to read data from Caffiend and make a chart showing how late you can 'dose up' without ruining your sleep.
Best caffeine tracker on the App Store

I've tried more caffeine trackers than I care to admit - both free and paid for ones - and this is, by far, the best one out there and it's still being developed. Jawbone had a great tracker that I used for quite some time but it's been broken for over a year and isn't being developed. Meanwhile, this app continues to be maintained and updated by a developer who's very responsive to suggestions and bug reports. Every bug I've reported has been fixed and the developer has been polite and responsive to those bug reports. There are still some features I'd like to see, but knowing that the app is being actively maintained, I'm sure they will show up soon. The watchOS app is quite good now too, under watchOS 3. Adding a drink takes just a few seconds if that. I don't use the hydration feature as I already have a water tracker, but for those that don't, it's a nice bonus feature. And for those that do, you can turn that feature off. Oh! And one of my favorite features - which really should be standard for these kinds of apps - HealthKit integration. This is very handy as it means your caffeine intake can be charted and historical results are available. When used with other HealthKit enabled apps, this allows one to track patterns - perhaps seeing a direct correlation between one's caffeine intake and mood via a mood app tracker for example. The possibilities are endless and I'm thankful this app logs the data it collects into the Apple Health app as a result of this HealthKit enabling. Kudos to the developer for a great app! Keep up the good work!
Great caffeine tracker!

Great app! I especially like that it syncs with the health app so you can track your water/caffeine intake over time. Personally, I don't drink coffee. I wish I liked the taste of it but I find it gross. I've tried it in all of its forms. Therefore, even though they are much worse for you, I usually drink one energy drink a day. I've received a lot of criticism for drinking energy drinks because of the "high caffeine content". Don't get me wrong, I'm aware most energy drinks are packed with high fructose corn syrup, which is almost pure poison (which is why I try to drink ones that use pure sugar, even though it's not much better for you). I'm using this app for two things, and it does a great job at it:1. To show I'm not consuming more caffeine than my friends and family who drink a TON of coffee each day.2. To track my caffeine to make sure I'm not going overboard and to make sure I consume enough pure water everyday. Some suggestions:I'd really like a way to organize my custom drinks I create by name. Most of the energy drinks I drink aren't listed and they are all over the place. A manual way to organize the drinks would be best. Also, maybe a way to upload a picture of your custom drinks (or even ones that are preloaded)? Just for fun!
