Send a story to anyone. Every book your child makes can now become a private link. Send it to a grandparent, a teacher or a friend, and they open it in a browser and read the whole thing, cover to cover. No account, no app, nothing to install. Plus fixes and improvements across printing, the Community Library and your story library.

Version 5.0 is the biggest release in My Story's history. Turn any story into a real printed book. The publishing flow has been rebuilt from the ground up. Preview every page exactly as it will print, choose softcover or hardcover, portrait or landscape, design your own back cover, and follow the order all the way to your doorstep. If you have never had one of your child's stories printed, start here. It is the single best thing this app does. Almost everything else is now free. Unlimited books. Unlimited authors. Every sticker pack, every music track, every art style, backup and restore, and book export and import, all open to everyone, forever. Story Sparks now cover the Magic features only, and your child earns them just by writing. A welcome gift of Sparks is waiting the next time you open the app. The Community Library is here. A moderated shelf of stories from storytellers of every age: families, classrooms, teachers and authors all over the world. Read them, favorite the ones you love, leave a kind comment, and publish your own for others to find. Parents keep independent switches for the library, for publishing and for comments. Introducing Memory Book. Pick some photos and My Story arranges them into a finished illustrated book, with layouts, captions, photo frames and a soundtrack included. Then print it. Perfect for a holiday, a birthday, or a whole school year. Become a Storyteller. Earn XP for everything you write and climb eleven ranks from Daydreamer to Living Legend, with badges, lifetime writing stats and a level journey map. The streak is now weekly rather than daily, which is far kinder to real family life, and finishing one now gifts you a brand new My Story character. A whole new look. Home, library, canvas, page manager, settings and the image editor have all been rebuilt around a warmer, calmer design. New on the canvas • Landscape books, alongside the classic portrait format • A shapes tool, and decorative borders for any image • Crop right on the page, with drag handles and aspect presets • Ready-made page layouts, including polaroid scatter styles • Keyframe animations and new page transitions • Long-hold to copy, cut and paste anything Also in 5.0 • Five new My Story characters to use on any page, with more added regularly, and you can ask us for one that does not exist yet • Video preview and sharing before you export • Copy or move a story to another author • Gentle weekly reminders and a daily writing prompt • Fully translated into 17 languages • Hundreds of fixes to performance, memory, layout and reliability Thank you for making things with us. Go tell a story, then go print it.

Pinch-to-Zoom While Drawing Two-finger pinch-zoom and pan are now available while you're drawing. Perfect for adding tiny details. What's New in My Story 4.8.0 Imagine your child whispers one idea — "a dragon who loves to bake" — and moments later a complete illustrated storybook appears, with cover art, themed pages, and a matching soundtrack. That's Full Magic Story, the biggest thing we've ever added to My Story. Just type a single prompt and our AI writes, illustrates, and scores an entire multi-page storybook for you. Full Magic Story uses 600 Story Sparks and is available for Premium members. We've also brought your drawings to life in a whole new dimension. Magic 3D Stickers transforms any doodle or image into a gorgeous 3D sticker you can drop right into your story. It's a little bit magical every single time. Text lovers, rejoice! We completely overhauled the text editor. Text is now vector-sharp at any size — no more blurry letters on big headings. You can also add beautiful colored text borders and outlines to make titles pop off the page. Getting your layers just right is now a breeze with the new Layer Manager. See live thumbnails of every element, then drag them into exactly the order you want. No more guessing what's on top of what. Smart Play Mode is another one we think you'll love — page durations now automatically adjust to subtitle reading time, so your audience always has a moment to read before the story moves on. This update also includes resizable and draggable video crop handles for fine-tuned video placement, long-press tooltips on every toolbar button so nothing is ever a mystery, age-tailored AI story suggestions for readers of all ages, and easy drag-to-reorder for Magic Characters (plus the ability to delete individual character variations). All AI features have been upgraded to Gemini 2.5 for smarter, more creative results. On the polish side: we've eliminated the white border on hard cover prints, fixed viewer mode layout on iPhone, made white text visible in editor preview, resolved a drawing layer rotation issue, smoothed out story viewer navigation, and cleaned up character reference sheet artifacts in AI generation. As always, thank you for creating, sharing, and reading stories with My Story. Every story matters — and so does yours.
