RowingCAS is a GPS-based Collision Avoidance System (CAS) for rowing, swimming and other water sports. It warns about dangerous approaches between boats, boats and swimmers and fixed obstacles such as buoys, poles, pylons etc. Primarily designed for rowing, it's also perfectly suitable for sailing, small motor boats and yachts. RowingCAS also offers live tracking e.g. for Search and Rescue support. Press the TEST button to see and hear an alarm indication. *Fixed obstacles (buoys etc.)*: Please share dangerous obstacles in your area, see the manual for details: http://www.kisstech.ch/rowingcas/en/doc.shtml *Swimmers:* Please stow your phone in a swimming safety buoy after activating RowingCAS. RowingCAS is currently free. We do however plan to introduce a moderate fee in the future. We'll provide iPad and Apple Watch versions if there is interest. RowingCAS uses the GPS, the compass and requires a mobile data connection. The mobile data amounts are very low so that it is perfectly reasonable to use it even while roaming. Disclaimer: * Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
