Everything about Swiggy instamart is so cool and the service really helps professionals when they can’t be everywhere and do everything on time! Just ONE suggestion for the team - when the order is big & beyond a certain weight, you guys need to consider how the delivery guys are going to carry all those bags on their bike!! I heard about this very sour experience from the delivery guy himself who literally scolded me, making my face blue about how dare I order so much and make the bike ride so difficult for him. It didn’t anger me but I instead gave him a 5-star rating! As a company, you guys need to be considerate to your employees and delivery guys and think about such logistics well in advance. May be for anything beyond a light weight 2 bag order, you might need to send them out in batches via auto. Hope you will regard this request. As of now, I will never be placing another big order from instamart to avoid the delivery guy’s inconvenience.

I live in the US and was visiting Bangalore in late December. I heard about Swiggy from friends and decided to try it out. I opened an account using my US number (they allowed me to). Then I ordered the food and requested it to be delivered to my Hotel. After an 80 minute wait (bless Bangalore traffic) the delivery person came close to my hotel . I tried to call him but the call did not go thru. Apparently the delivery guy also tried to call me and could not reach me. After waiting for sometime he called the support Helpdesk and they cancelled my order and charged me the full price of the order as cancellation fee. I was later able to get the direct number of the delivery person and called him on WhatsApp. He told me that as per policy he has to return the food to the restaurant and even though I was in direct contact with the driver he said he could not do anything as per Swiggy Policy. For the next 30 minutes I talked to Swiggy customer Support and a Manager and they kept on repeating the same policy again and again. So after waiting for my food for 2.5 hrs I had to make alternate arrangements. NOT HAPPY.I am used to customer service from standard US providers like Uber Eats and DoorDash and Swiggy has such a pathetic customer experience. I will never use it again.

This app is the most counterintuitive app for food delivering for those of us in the west. They put their chat in the most obscure part of the app so you don’t even see it and then randomly you might find it well after the driver or the restaurant you ordered from had been contacting you only to find then they had canceled it, but in the meantime, the page that show shows you the play-by-play of your order, doesn’t say there’s anything wrong. To top things off say there’s a glitch because of the OTP thing and you’re roaming and your food doesn’t get delivered. Then Swiggy’s not gonna refund you your money they’ll give you some BS voucher that’s only. Redeemable for X number of days but might due in the chat that you spent one hour trying to sort out nowhere. Will they tell you that there’s an expiration date. This company is like the epitome of wasting your life on chat to accomplish a whole bunch of nothing except assassination of neurons.

Ok so I order egg curry and roti from R.K eggtry and when I received my order only egg curry came and no Roti so I called the restaurant and they said they are out of stock. Why is it still In your ordering options when you are out of it I asked ... I get reply that it’s Swiggy’s fault not ours that they didn’t take it off on their website ok so I call Swiggy and I talk to the representative and he is telling me nothing he can do besides give me credit my money back for the roti so I asked him what am I supposed to do at 12am with egg curry without a roti and he tells me to order it from another restaurant and wait another 50 minutes. So I told him why don’t you take this egg curry back and give me my 650rs back and I will order the whole food somewhere else because I’m not eating it without roti or waiting for roti for 50 minutes and eat it with cold curry and all he tells me nothing he can do. I asked him what would he do if he was at my position and he said I would be mad and would want my money back. Didn’t get anything done and I end up giving egg curry to the Dogs in my street. Thanks Swiggy for the great customer service!! Oh and thanks for 50rs coupon which I won’t be using so you may keep it or give to someone else !!
