Distances To provides a way to calculate driving distances, flight distance, fuel cost, land elevation, route elevation, travel time and more. Note that an internet connection is required.
With support for countries all around the world, you can calculate the distance to, from and between cities, towns, villages and/or countries. Calculations are displayed in miles, kilometers, meters and/or feet.
Additionally, you can:
Find coordinates for locations in DMS or decimal format, view road maps, get driving directions and find places near you.
The places finder helps you find and get driving directions to: car rental locations, gas stations, lodging facilities, post offices, public transportation locations and more.
Distances To also displays user friendly visual elements such as maps, charts and even offers a save to PDF option for the driving distance, flight distance, fuel cost, land elevation, route elevation and travel time calculators as well as the coordinates finder.
By saving this information to a PDF file, you can better plan your trip, organize your data and even access the information offline.
I use this all the time for trip planning. Google Maps planning module does not give distances between destination points just the route. I use this app to do that. I suggest some improvements to make it a 5 Star. First, there should me a way to put in several stops between destinations. Second, there should be an x to clear an entry rather than using the back button. Third, it would be nice to have favorite destinations and/or a way to save previous routes. Bottom line: it’s useful but could great with a couple of tweaks.
App no longer working

This has been one of my favorite apps for road trips. Where are you starting from, where are you going, and then see total road miles, time, and different route options.Unfortunately the app no longer functions on my old iPhone 8 and my new iPhone 15 pro max. The issue is when the city name is entered followed by a comma, space, and two character state letters, the field no longer displays a list of cities, addresses, etc. it is not able to connect to a database as in the past.When Calculate Distance is pressed, the app experiences a problem locating the From and To locations. There is no way to get the app to recognize the entered city. The app no longer is able to leverage Google or whatever map link that makes this app functional. The app settings are limited to remembering last entered address.

I wish I could give it 10 stars. I was using a search engine in my computer to find distances between cities when I saw a page that provided that. I decided to see if there was an application to measure distance between cities. I saw this application and decided to install it and check it out with the idea that, if I didn’t like it, I would delete it from my phone. I checked some distances between some cities and was delighted with the application. It gives more than the distance. Things like approximate driving time are also important to me for trip planning. I love it. It’s my go to application for trip planning.

So, we are going on a cross country trip and I kept trying to get approximate distance for daily drive time. Our first 3 days were way out of our comfort zone because Google Cities-Distance was giving me milage ‘as the crow flies’-straight line-so instead of 250 miles from Google, our trips were logging in at 330 miles! Not a good way to start! Then I found this App and I can now get accurate driving distance and time driving! We are all loving this App!
This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
Distances To version 1.3 now fully supports iPhone X and supports other iOS devices better than before.
This release offers better memory management and rendering.
Now previously entered addresses are saved and therefore will no longer require you to retype the addresses. A total of 5 addresses are saved. Newly entered addresses replace previously entered ones. This upgrade was made possible due to two reviewer comments.
The app also saves previously viewed data and automatically displays that data when the app is reopened.
If you've previously researched the distance, travel time, route elevation etc., between two or three points, navigating to the menu and selecting another "calculations" option, will show data based on those previously entered points.
Navigating the app is much easier and more precise.
Important information is more prominently displayed and information which was cluttering up pages has been removed.
Quite a few UI changes were made which are subtle yet make a huge difference.
Reduced app size by half.
