Turns your notes into a private vault
Best secured notes app on the AppStore
Download it now for a one time lifetime fee.
Biometric Notes is a private vault for the things you would never want anyone else to read: recovery phrases, private keys, card numbers, passport details, passwords, and personal thoughts. Everything stays on your device, protected by Face ID or Touch ID and, if you choose, encrypted with a passphrase only you know.
Trusted since 2014. No account, no cloud, no ads, no tracking.
ENCRYPT WITH YOUR OWN KEY
Turn on encryption and every note is sealed on your device with AES-256 under a passphrase only you know. Not a backup, not another app, not even we can read them. Face ID or Touch ID opens the vault day to day, and your passphrase is always there as the fallback.
CONCEAL THE SENSITIVE PARTS
Hide a seed phrase, PIN, or card number inside an otherwise readable note. It shows as dots until you tap it, and hides again with another tap. Copied secrets clear from the clipboard after 30 seconds.
A DECOY VAULT FOR PRESSURE SITUATIONS
Set a second passphrase that opens a separate set of harmless notes. If someone forces you to unlock, they see the decoy and nothing hints that your real notes exist.
NOTES THAT DELETE THEMSELVES
Set a note to self-destruct after an hour, a day, a week, or a month. Perfect for a guest Wi-Fi password or a one-time code.
PROTECTED EVERYWHERE
• Locks whenever you leave the app, with an auto-lock delay you control
• Hides your notes in the app switcher and during screen recording or mirroring
• Records every failed unlock attempt so you know if someone tried to get in
• Your device passcode is the fallback, so you are never locked out
ENCRYPTED BACKUPS YOU OWN
Export all your notes as a single passphrase-protected file and restore them on any iPhone or iPad. Your notes are also included in your normal device backup.
INTELLIGENCE THAT NEVER LEAVES YOUR DEVICE
On iPhones and iPads with Apple Intelligence, summarize a long note, suggest a title, pull out to-dos, or suggest tags. Everything runs on the device itself.
ALSO
• Search inside every note, even encrypted ones
• Full dark mode
• Works completely offline
• Universal app for iPhone and iPad
• One purchase, no subscriptions, no in-app fees
Getting started: open the app, tap New to write a note, then tap Set Up on the card above your notes to turn on encryption. Choose a passphrase you will remember. That is all.
