Circle, underline and highlight web pages with Apple Pencil. Lock to draw, unlock to browse. Ink stays on the words it was drawn on, even when the page changes. Inkover puts a pen on top of Safari. Lock the page, draw on what you are reading with your hand resting on the glass, unlock and read on. The ink stays where you put it. It exists because reading on a screen has no margins. If you circle things, underline them and trace along a line to keep your place, this is for you. WHAT IT DOES • Pen with pressure, a translucent highlighter, and an eraser that removes whole strokes. • Hold still at the end of a stroke and a rough circle becomes a clean ellipse, a box becomes a rectangle, a wobbly line becomes straight. • Scribble over ink to erase it, the way Notes does. • Trail: ink that follows the Pencil and fades in under a second, for tracing while you read without leaving a mark. • Spotlight: hold the Pencil on a line and the rest of the page dims. • Undo, redo, hide all ink, clear the page. INK THAT STAYS PUT Most drawing extensions paint on a spot on the screen. Inkover attaches every stroke to the text or image it was drawn on. Switch a tab on the page, expand a section, rotate the iPad, reload: the ink moves with its content and hides while that content is hidden. THE PENCIL IS THE ONLY PEN Tap Lock and the Pencil is a pen: it never taps a link or scrolls by accident, and your resting hand cannot move the page under it. Tap Unlock and both the Pencil and your finger browse as normal. One switch, nothing automatic. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Ink is saved on your iPad, per page, until you clear it. There is no account, no sync, no server and no analytics. Inkover collects nothing. WHAT IT IS NOT Inkover does not export, print or share. It is not a note-taking app. It is a pen for the page you are reading. Requires an iPad running iPadOS 17 or later and any Apple Pencil. Inkover is a Safari extension. Turn it on in Settings, then Apps, Safari, Extensions.
