Inscriptus is a database of abbreviations found in ancient Roman inscriptions. Perfect for tourists, students, professors, or anyone interested in ancient Rome!
Traveling in Rome and see a ancient monument? Take out this app and figure out what it says!
Built by a University of Rochester student in collaboration with a professor from the University's Department of Religion and Classics, this app allows you to:
- Look up thousands of abbreviations available offline
- Search for either the abbreviated or full form
- Or just browse the full list of abbreviations, including abbreviations with non-Latin symbols
- Favorite the abbreviations you want to remember
- Look up definitions of words you find in abbreviations
- Share abbreviations by email
This version fixes a crash and some visual bugs with searching on the Special Abbreviations page.
