I am not sure how long now I have had this app, but definetly long enough to experience almost every situation where you would need this app. I have never had any problems with this app and from at least one of the low ratings I've seen someone give for this, I can tell it's from inexperience and not necessarily from the app. What I appreciate about this app is I have a little "Control Center" that tells me the status of my internet as well as pertenent information such as my IP and transfer rate. Lastly, I like how you can personalize the icon in the toolbar. It is silly, but there are plenty of options that just make it fun.

I live in Bali, Indonesia a tropical paradise of natural beauty and internet and electricity that fluctuates like the weather!! We have multiple internet services as backups to assure some continuous service. The main incoming IP addresses then go though different router including a series oof dedicated VPN routers.. This presents a problem as a solid connection is shown to one of the routers but if the incoming IP is not functioning then there is no internet connection. This app lets me know at a glance if everything is working or if there is an error. My only regret is that I didn’t find this a long time ago!!

If you're one of them, you have undoubtedly experienced the frustration of "sending" email that never arrives and typing URLs that "should" be valid but nothing happens. Of course this app doesn't fix that, but at least we know WHY, and we can wait for the green dot to appear instead of adding another dent to our foreheads.

It drove me crazy for no reason

I had forgotten I had installed this app, so when my Mac started dinging every few seconds that my Internet was out, then working, then out, then working, and dinging with each change. I worked the problem. Internet provider checked my connection and reported no outages at all. The WWW light on my router was constantly on. No problem. I changed the Ethernet connection to my 2013 Mac Pro running Mojave. No change. Constant dignging about the Internet being in and out continued. You couldn't click on the alert. I saw no icon in the menu bar, but I took note of it's icon in the alert and found the app. No way to directly trash it because it was running. But no way to stop it running until I had the idea of finding it in my Activity Monitor as a process and quitting the process. Then I was able to delete the app. Aaahhhh....
