IT Playbook is a library of long, carefully written courses on the things infrastructure and software people are expected to know: cloud platforms, Linux, networking, Docker and Kubernetes, Git and CI/CD, databases, security, testing, and the AI tools everyone is now expected to use.
Every lesson is narrated. Not machine-read afterwards, but written to be heard: one voice, sentence by sentence, with the sentence you are hearing marked on the page as it is read. Follow along on screen, or put the phone in your pocket and listen on a walk - the narration keeps playing with the screen off, and the lock screen controls it.
WHAT IS IN IT
- 26+ courses, each one a book rather than a playlist. A new course is added every month, and every course is fact-checked against the official documentation every month, so what you learn is what is true today.
- Sentence-level narration, at the speed you want, in a choice of two voices, with a pause between sentences you can lengthen while you take it in.
- A quiz at the end of every lesson, with an explanation for every answer, including the wrong ones.
- Flashcards built from the course's own glossary, scheduled by an algorithm that shows you a term again exactly when you are about to forget it.
- A streak that counts a day when you have both read and reviewed, because one without the other is not learning.
- One beginner course free every month, in full, for anyone signed in. No credit card required.
- Whole courses downloaded for offline reading and listening, for a flight or a commute with no signal.
FREE, AND PAID
Chapter one of every course is free, and so is every chapter overview and one beginner course each month, in full. An All Courses subscription opens everything: $16.00 a month, or $119.99 a year. Half price for the first year: $8.00 a month for the first twelve months, or $60.00 for the first year. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and it can be managed or cancelled in your Apple Account settings at any time.
THE SAME ACCOUNT EVERYWHERE
Your progress, your streak and your flashcard schedule follow you between the phone, the iPad and the website, because they are the same account and the same data. Start a lesson on a laptop, finish it on a bus.
Sign in with Apple or with Google. Delete the account, and everything with it, from Settings whenever you want.

- Play after a pause continues the sentence where it stopped, instead of starting it over.
- Pause on definitions is now in the reader's settings too, and closing a definition resumes only the narration it paused.
- The app opens on your Dashboard when you have courses in progress.
- The tab bar stays full size while you scroll.
- An open flashcard trainer follows settings changed in Settings or on another device.
- When your access can't be checked, the app says so instead of showing the free tier.
- Streak days are judged by the daily goal you had that day.
- Steadier narration when switching lessons quickly, plus push and stability fixes.
