# Downloader Enhanced dynamic segment creation by factoring in the transfer rate of each individual connection. Fixed an issue where the downloader would occasionally corrupt files when automatically retrying a timed-out connection. Fixed an issue where the download was sometimes not marked as finished, even after all connections had completed downloading. # New Task Fixed: URL with Data scheme does not work. # Downloader - Improvements in dynamic segmentation. The connections are now added one by one. It only creates new connection when a successful response is received from server for previous request. - The transfer rate & remaining file size are considered when splitting into multiple connections. It stops adding more connections when transfer rate is sufficient to handle such file size. When one or more connections finish downloading it may add more connections depending on transfer rate & remaining file size. - Improvements in detection of download resume capability. It does not solely rely on initial response from server to find out resume capability. - To prevent file corruption and avoid “Error 416”, jDM correctly handles more or less data sent by server than initially promised. - Improvements in suggesting filename and download directory. If file type changes when response is received from server, it also changes download directory accordingly if it is not customized by user in new task window. - Alerts user if file modification date is changed on server when resuming download. - Download authentication process is improved to make it simple & easy to authenticate downloads. Detailed authentication instructions are provided when adding cookies through built-in-browser or other browsers in settings. - jDM extensions send cookies along with download URLs. These cookies are sometimes required for authentication of those URLs so saving them is essential. An option to delete all “New Task” cookies after one month is provided in settings to clear them automatically. # Built-in-Browser - Built-in-browser always uses incognito mode. The website data is cleared when window is closed or user moves to a new website through address bar. The cookies saved in “Authentication” settings are automatically restored when user visits such websites. - Option to apply current authentication action to all URLs in the queue. - Fixed: Built-in-browser does not navigate to popup pages. # New Task - Simplified process of adding downloads through new task windows. Unnecessary views are removed. The filename, referrer, description, file path and start type can be changed when waiting for response from server. You can even start downloads when response is not yet received or it is unsuccessful. - Added “this page only” feature in site grabber to find URLs in the given URL only. - You can specify Finder tags to apply on each download file. # Main Window - The toolbar buttons are updated with new icons to match with unified toolbar. - Easily add downloads through “Add” button in toolbar; it shows menu for all new task options. - The “Progress” column has been removed and download progress bar is shown at the bottom of each row for pending downloads only. - Downloads table highlights status with different colors. - Improvements in moving files. These tags are automatically applied to files when download finishes according to specific location. - The download locations in “Directories” settings are available in all new task windows, inspector window and main window to allow changing file path quickly. - A Proxy settings pane is added in settings. The HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS5 proxies are supported. You can also exclude specific domains from using proxy. Added ‘New Download’ window to preview your downloads and option to download them now or later. Added ‘Get Info’ window to provide detailed description for your downloads, edit url and referrer values, move files, add description related to downloads and select next or previous download just from ‘Get Info’ window and get details. When all downloads are completed choose to Shut down Mac, put Mac to sleep mode or quit jDM.
