When to run for shade or sun

loop4d adds the fourth dimension to route planning: time.
You already know your route. loop4d tells you WHEN to run or ride it - the hours with the most shade on a hot summer day, or the most sun in winter - so you can plan around the heat, the glare and the wind.
Open a GPX file (or share one from Strava, komoot, Garmin Connect or Files), pick a date, and loop4d walks the sun across your whole route, point by point, to find your best time to go.
HOW IT WORKS
• Per-point sun & shade — for every part of your route, loop4d works out when the sun clears the ridges, trees and buildings around you.
• Best windows — clear "best in shade" and "best in sun" time slots for your chosen day.
• Weather & wind — temperature, rain, wind direction and twilight over your day, from a live forecast.
• Replay — scrub through the day and watch your route light up shade, sun, headwind and tailwind, segment by segment.
• Forward or reversed — flip the direction and loop4d re-picks the ideal start.
BUILT FOR RUNNERS & CYCLISTS
Marathon training in July? Find the shaded hours. Chasing winter sun on the bike? Find the bright ones. Planning a long climb? See where the wind hits.
PLAN WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT
Route analysis runs on your phone, with no sign-in. loop4d fetches public elevation, map and weather data to do the math.

Ratings & Reviews

Border crossings land in the right country. A run from Basel that dips into France now shows both countries, checked against OpenStreetMap's borders instead of a simplified world map.
The Profile tab shows your history: activities per year, split by your three most-visited countries, with the countries you visited for the first time each year.
The Strava history scan checks border crossings too. It saves its place as it goes, carries on when you come back to the app, shows each step as it works, and offers Continue or Scan again if it stopped.
New in Awards: Country Loops, one for every country you've been active in. Loop captions say which activities they count, and Rain Loops need at least 0.5 mm of rain.
Share cards only show an award for what that activity did. Country flags sit centred, the day chart's labels no longer run into the stats, a small gain reads as points instead of "1× more shade", and the wording fits runs and walks as well as rides.
The route summary shows country flags; the names are in the Country row below.
