You can now import mind maps into mappy. • Import .mindmap files from Settings > Storage > Import. • Add multiple maps to your library or an existing folder. • Original files stay unchanged, and duplicate names are numbered to prevent overwriting existing maps.

Node notes. Expand any node into a full page of notes: headings, lists, checklists, code blocks with syntax colours, images, links and highlights. Find within a note with ⌘F. Clear formatting in one step. Formulas. Write LaTeX in notes and node titles: type $E=mc^2$, press the Σ button, or paste straight from ChatGPT. Formulas render with KaTeX and print in the PDF. PDF export with notes. Optionally append every node's notes to the exported PDF, as real selectable text with clickable links. Presentation mode. Walk through a map node by node with the arrow keys, with the editing chrome out of the way. Multi-line labels. Tab and Shift+Tab indent inside a label; Shift+Enter starts a new line without creating a node. Also in this release: • Every icon button explains itself on hover, with its keyboard shortcut where one exists. • The dashboard sort orders folders as well as maps: "Date modified" puts the folder with the newest map first. • Renaming a map to a title that is already taken explains the "2" it adds; ⌘⇧/ opens the shortcuts sheet on every keyboard layout. • A mindmap opened from Finder or with File > Open outside your library saves back to its own file instead of asking for a new location. • Faster, steadier start-up; the app no longer launches to an empty Dock icon when a window fails to appear. • Safer saving: mappy notices when a map was changed or moved outside the app and offers to keep both versions instead of overwriting either. • Fullscreen, window placement and the Window menu are restored correctly after relaunch, display changes and closing the last window. • .mindmap document icons reflect each map's colour in Finder, the Open dialog, the Dock and App Exposé, instead of a page of raw file text. Compatibility: maps that contain notes are saved in a newer file format and open only in mappy 1.0.1 or later. If you keep your library in iCloud Drive and open it from more than one Mac, update mappy on every Mac before adding notes; mappy 1.0.0 will refuse to open a map with notes rather than risk losing them. Maps without notes are unchanged and still open in 1.0.0.
