And you know this will never turn into a subscription, because the developer is making this GPL/open source. I tried many Windows Notepad-like apps in the App Store and they all were decent, but always seemed to lack some random basic function (e.g. word wrap on/off, etc). This app, though, provides everything I needed. But I noticed that when I save my changes, the app refreshs and scrolls to the top of the file. Then I have to find my place again. All thanks to a decades-long, paranoia-driven habit of saving frequently (hitting Crtl-S is so easy to do on Macs and PCs).Anyway, this app is perfect. 5 stars. Thanks!

Like it because of its simplicity (literally word without any options) unlike textedit that overwhelmed me (which i did not know a text editor could do) the second i opened it, overall, a good text editor.

Finally, a simple text editor that doesn't eat up a ton of memory that can also print! The only thing I wish it did, and maybe it does and I just haven't found it yet, is print line numbers and show character and line info when viewing the document.
