Built for Blu-ray remuxes. MKV, M2TS, TS and MP4 play as they are, with the original video stream, the original audio tracks and the system player's polish. The familiar transport bar, info panel, audio and subtitle pickers, and smooth 4K playback driven by the Apple TV hardware itself. No conversion, no waiting.
LOSSLESS DOLBY ATMOS AND DTS:X
Until now, TrueHD Atmos and DTS:X soundtracks on Apple TV were cut down to 7.1 and the height channels were simply dropped. Native Player decodes them in full, on the device, and delivers every channel to your receiver or soundbar as lossless audio, height channels included. Up to 9.1.6, perfectly in sync. Choose the speaker layout that matches your system or leave the default and let your receiver adapt it.

• Files on the Apple TV: open the address shown in the app in any browser and drag your files in
• SMB shares and WebDAV servers: browse your NAS or computer and play directly, nothing is downloaded first
• Direct URLs: stream a video straight from a link, with an external subtitle if you want one
• External player: apps with an "external player" option can hand playback to Native Player, with subtitles, start position and a return to where you left off

Everything above is free. Titles with Dolby Vision Profile 7, TrueHD Dolby Atmos or DTS:X play a free preview, and Native Player Pro unlocks them in full. Choose a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, shared with your Family Sharing group.
The subscription renews automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account and you can manage or cancel the subscription in your account settings.
