Navyo

Weather routing for sailors

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Navyo helps sailors plan passages with clear marine weather context, route comparison, and a map-first navigation experience. Compare wind, waves, currents, motor baselines, and sailing options before departure. Review routes by leg, inspect forecast conditions, and use Cruise mode when you want a simple chartplotter-style view without a destination. Navyo is decision-support software for recreational boating and passage planning. Always use official charts, notices to mariners, required navigation equipment, and skipper judgment.

- Route planning now stays focused on one next step. Drafting, progress, comparison, weather, recovery, and navigation replace one another instead of stacking competing cards or actions. - Route review now opens with the differences that matter: duration, distance, safety, and weather. Detailed legs, timeline playback, sharing, and advanced controls remain available when you ask for them. - iPad route planning now uses a chart-first side inspector, while iPhone keeps one compact bottom workflow with the trip action always reachable. - Sailing setup now has one clear departure action with quick choices and the native date/time picker. Confirming a changed departure replaces the prior sailing calculation using the same reviewed route corridor. - Forecast choices now show only models with complete wind, wave, and current information for the selected route and departure. Unsupported choices no longer appear or hold route progress open. - Route forecasts now use one versioned environment snapshot across iPhone, iPad, and the web planner. Every route requires complete wind and wave coverage, while current coverage is clearly identified when available. - Wind alternatives now compare independent forecast providers against the same wave and current conditions instead of mixing different sea states. - Long and complex routes now follow connected navigable water without fixed regional shortcuts or hidden route sections. - Routes may travel around peninsulas, island chains, and managed canals when the safe path cannot keep moving directly toward the finish. - Selected beach and shoreline places can resolve to nearby navigable water, while positions tapped directly on the chart remain exactly where placed. - Chart depth and contour overlays now stay steady while you pan or change scale, including brief moments when the chart is still drawing. - Route results now include enough bounded detail in automatic diagnostics to reproduce an implausible detour without storing the full route line. - Navyo now uses the same faster routing method on iPhone, iPad, and the web planner while retaining the same shoreline, endpoint, weather, and waypoint safety checks. - Heading Up in Cruise mode now keeps position, scale, and direction together during live movement and manual zoom. North Up keeps the chart fixed while the boat symbol shows the same corrected direction. - Route planning and weather review are calmer and easier to scan. Important cautions now appear once, where you can act on them, instead of repeating across the chart and route cards. - Route choices use compact comparisons, while the selected route keeps the full safety and weather explanation. - Route calculations are easier to follow. Navyo now shows progress one waypoint leg at a time instead of listing every calculation step. - The active route button includes an estimated progress fill, so long routes always show that work is moving forward and remain easy to stop. - Motor and Sailing options now start together. A slow option no longer holds back another route that is ready to use. - Sailing choices now avoid short, artificial loops when switching between motor assist and sail, keeping the route moving toward your destination.
