Pointless unless there's an auto-enable feature

The whole point is to be safe and secure from first connection. There desperately needs to be an auto-enable feature or this serves no purpose because anyone can just reboot and re-log-in and everything's wide open.

A lifechanging app

I have had this app installed for many years and don't even notice it most of the time.I fall in love with each each time I look at a friends screen and see all of the ads that they put up with. I haven't seen an advertisement in years.It works well with iCloud Private Relay and has many advanced features. But I don't really need them.

I'm a total newbie at DNS so I was a little nervous but gave NextDNS a try after seeing so many positive reviews online. It's great so far.First: if you think the app isn't opening, look in the MENU BAR (top of Mac screen). There should be a shield icon. Click it to set up, it'll turn solid black when running. Second, use their tutorial on their web page for setup - you manage your account there too.As you browse the web a few sites may make you reset your password. You can watch the analytics in your account on the web page.Now I'm going to add it to my iPhone. I'll report back if I have any issues. Thanks so much to the developers...you've made this very easy!

On my Mac Studio this app does nothing. I can double click it over and over again to get it to run and it does absolutely sweet blow all. If I navigate into the .app folder and run the binary from there, when it runs it opens a Terminal window executes some command that says "manager state change: uninstalled" and then exists. Best case this is a situation where insufficent testing was done on an app, worst case the NextDNS people do not know what they are doing and they have put a damaged and useless app on the app store. Very irritated.
