Most items I choose to eat are not chosen from the food/meal database on Nunch. If an item is not prepackaged, most likely there is not a nutritional facts table to scan. Therefore, you have to build your restaurant meal by each ingredient… maybe I am wrong and there’s a feature I am missing. If so, then that’s an issue too. I cannot find a way to add a restaurant/homemade meal and type in the total macros. Most restaurants have detailed nutritional facts on their website, so it would be great to manually input the values to the app. If you are eating the same food and know the mass of each ingredient, then this app is perfect for you. If you can’t weigh each ingredient of a salad at Chili’s, then this app may not work for you.
Hi Scotty, thanks so much for the feedback! In calorie tracking apps, recipes and meals are collections of ingredients or food items, they’re meant to combine multiple entries together. If you’d like to add a custom meal or restaurant dish by entering calories and macros manually, you can do that by creating it as a custom food item. That way, you can log any food with known calories, like “Chili’s Salad” and enter the exact nutrition values yourself - without any ingredients.I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, any feedback like yours helps make Nunch better. Please feel free to reach out directly through support email support@nunch.app before leaving a low-star review. Feedback like yours truly helps improve Nunch and low ratings can really hurt small indie developers like me.Thank you for understanding and for giving Nunch a try!- Danijela
