I haven’t used this app in great detail yet, but what I’ve done with it has really helped me out and after a bit of playing with the app, very easy. Even better, it is free! I teach environmental science in college. After each exam I generate histograms of the data and the univariate statistics to display to the class. I do this so they know where they fall in the distribution (not identified of course, but they know their score) and in hopes of familiarizing them more with statistics. Yesterday, using the app I’ve always used, I observed that the standard deviations accompanying the plots were wrong. The app I was using hasn’t been updated in 4 years because the creator made a new version and went to a subscription model. I’m subscribed to death so I didn’t go for it. I downloaded Past5, played with it for a while, then generated both the histograms and the univariate statistics. I put it all together and sent it out in an announcement to my class. This worked great and didn’t cost me anything other than a short amount of learning time. Highly recommended.

Past now is supposed by Apple Silicon and the speed is more than noticeable. I am so glad this is now up to par with the Windows version, supporting new functionality and fixing previous bugs. Great software!!!!
