WHo are you? I asked myself when looking into the mirror, torn between where I found the core and where things gained momentum. And forgotten was where I started. Its ambitious to connect physical and digital 1:1, and some things just dont work well so I had to wonder who I am, what to do etc etc. Ultimately this journey started as an app, and it is an app, and I think physical prototyping is one of the greatest tools ever but I am an app. And elimination slaps so hard which is why its back, but shoutout to the game I played at the table last week made me switch +=2+ t0 +=+ring which is nice. Now its sharp, its lethal, its exciting. Also added royale. Fun. The story is there now and I cant wait to tell it, if this dryesque genre can breakout into something exciting we are on a roll. Pray.

we were playing with some friends from paris in a bar with low light, a 3p game transitioning into 4p then 5p and incredible insights have been gained. I want physical and digital to be consistent and have spent much time reflecting on the + and - mod which both cause issues in the physical version and have been concept tested digitally. what I landed on was economy - a fix to the narrative arc that peaked in mid game due to +2-1, now + and - win and lose extra rings - and the tension rises all the way until the end, a great way to play poles. futhermore lots of housecleaning and auditing given the dev sprint, the product is crystallising well, and I am happily throwing the old stuff

Closing Chapter V1 - it was time to make a few needed tweaks post V2 first launch. Color got fine tuned - to address color-blindness a shortcoming of my V1physical model I wanted to improve. + Simplifying the UI to really carve out an identity and simplify UI elements into a consistent experience. Light/dark mode for later but I wanted to bring down the brightness towards midtones more - until now things were too bright. Its nice now, old-school vibes. Tweaked animation too hope its smoother now.

VERSION 2.0 UPGRADE Long story short I can now understand the Founders Edition as necessary to lay the foundation of PAUSO. But we have progressed beyond and came full circle to 2023 when this project started as an iOS App. This is the definitive release of version 2.0 - a true refinement of the core idea - cutting away lots of clutter and making sense of the project as a whole.

I had a dream last night running through a house full of snakes to find a usb-c charger. I woke up and knew how to make onboarding even smoother.
