PDFs Split & Merge: PDF Editor 4+

It splits and merges PDFs, but I find I would like it to do some other basic things like reorder pages. After 2 freebies it does require a $9 purchase, but I think that’s a reasonable price for something like this.

This app is incapable of splitting iOS created PDFs for whatever reason.

If you create a pdf by using the iOS system screen cap - pdf feature, and if you have iOS system reader mode turned on when you happened to make the pdf, you get a black background pdf with white text - helps to remove all website visual noise...

You are left with one extremely long, narrow stitched pdf.

This app has a bizarre way of going about, to split a pdf.

It asks you for page numbers. (There is no page number on my long stitched pdf.) it’s just one long page.

This app would had been way more user friendly, if you...

1) allowed us to move a that horizontal split line,
2) then we tap split
3) app recognizes, to split the page “exactly” where we moved the horizontal line and tapped split.

But then again even it did offer such a way of doing that - it still cannot split iOS PDFs that were generated in reader mode.

I went ahead and requested my $10 refund.
Decent UI but horrible UX - Don’t water your time.

We repeated the same steps by opening "https://stratechery.com/2021/clubhouses-inevitability/" in safari, putting the article in reader mode and extracted a reader pdf (17 pages), we then split the pdf and faced no issue with the process.

I was looking for a iPad app that would allow me to pick portions of big stacks of PDF documents to make into separate pdf’s and found this! Thank God, fantastic job guys and gals!

I pulled a 1000 hospital record into it and was able to chop out important sections into separated PDFs that I needed. Can you build in a text search feature so I can find specific portion even faster? Take care and be well.
