I've logged into my Friendica server (my-place.social) over 10 times, authentication is successful each time. However, there was no way to get back to the app feed without hitting "cancel" from the internal browser, completely losing the authenticated session.The developer reached out swiftly to offer help. I posted this on a week when there have been a couple family emergencies, so the only reason it's not 100% fixed yet is because I'm slow make use of the offered support -- but the developer is friendly, helpful, professional, patient, and has made easy support resolution available to me that I'm sure will work out well as I make use of more of the resources.
After additional info from the user, we discovered the issue. The problem is with Friendica and two-factor authentication. Currently, there is a bug where Friendica doesn't redirect back to the app, preventing us from being able to finish authorization. The problem was reported to Friendica. While we wait for a fix, the app was updated to include a warning with an explanation to inform anyone else who could run into the same problem.
