I’ve tried every app since podcasting started- Podverse is the best!

I’ve been listening to podcasts since the beginning. I have used every app and occasionally do a reassessment test by trying them all again and comparing them against each other. Podverse is my favorite and has been for a couple of years. I love that you can make clips from podcasts and see the clips that other people have made, too. This is useful if you don’t have time to listen to a whole show. You can make clips and play podcasts from your computer browser. Making clips from the computer is really easy compared to making clips on a mobile device using other apps. Podverse supports all of the new Podcasting 2.0 features like transcripts, chapters, and cross platform comments. The developer is very responsive and works hard to make a nice app. ❤️❤️❤️

Podcasting 2.0 is way better and this app utilizes the most features for an iOS app that I have found. It does have some issues updating images for chapters. If you are listening to an episode freshly released and the images for the chapters get uploaded while you listen to the episode, the app needs to be killed and reopened to get the new image chapters. Commonly an issue if listening to episodes not too long after they are released. I would also like the images to fill up much more of my screen because I listen to a show with great artwork for the shows. Also wish searching for a podcast would allow you to see comments and descriptions for each show so you know what a podcast is all about. I’m nitpicking though. It’s a pretty great app. I especially like dark mode.

Paid for yearly sub. Hands down best app with loads of features for sharing, jumping chapters, chapter art etc. Podcast 2.0 thanks godfather Adam Curry. One feature request , please angle swipe down or back once you are on playing podcast screen. Podcast and episode list allows this but if you are in the playing episode you have to hit the down arrow to return and when you are trying to use one hand this makes it difficult

One feature request , please angle swipe down or back once you are on playing podcast screen. Podcast and episode list allows this but if you are in the playing episode you have to hit the down arrow to return and when you are trying to use one hand this makes it difficult

While this app offers some exciting New features such as chapters, displaying album art, lightning payments etc. it is missing the most core functionality for a podcasting app and in my opinion is inexcusable. First even though I have downloaded Podcasts it still needs to connect to the Internet for some unknown reason to access my content making ti useless when off grid. Second, I’ve been using this app for at least six months and they still haven’t fixed The issue where it doesn’t save your place in a podcast and you have to scroll through to find where you were. Both of these are dealbreaker‘s for me from a usability standpoint. If you don’t fix these issues I’ll likely just be going back to the default Apple podcasting app.

- Fix AirPlay playback. AirPlay should now stay connected while the app is in the background or the phone is locked. - Fix downloading episodes for a few popular podcast networks.
