PointerPause prevents accidental trackpad and mouse interruptions while you type.
When a key is pressed, PointerPause briefly suppresses pointer movement, clicks, dragging, and scrolling. After your chosen recovery delay, your pointer responds normally again. It is especially useful when an accidental touch moves the cursor, changes focus, or clicks somewhere you did not intend.
PointerPause lives quietly in your menu bar:
- Works with built-in trackpads and external pointing devices
- Adjustable recovery delay from 0.1 to 1.5 seconds
- Starts new installations at a practical 0.8-second delay
- Can launch automatically when you sign in

Private by design:

PointerPause requires macOS Accessibility permission so it can filter pointer events. Its guided setup explains how to grant access, and permission remains under your control in System Settings.
