Thanks for the review! To connect unrelated nodes directly, hold down the Shift key and drag from the source node to the target node.

I have had to switch to freeform as this app does not allow me to create mind maps with both vertical and horizontal branches simultaneously. I submitted a request to the dev ages ago, but no real progress here.

Direct Node Connections/Relationships: Nodes can now be linked directly, even without a hierarchical relationship. To connect two nodes, hold the Shift key and drag from Node 1 to Node 2. Connection properties can then be adjusted in the inspector. Several bug fixes have also been implemented. Thank you for all your reports!
