Rot Stop is a privacy-first iOS app that helps you stop digital rot by blocking distracting apps using a physical NFC tag.
Instead of schedules, subscriptions, or cloud services, Rot Stop uses deliberate real-world friction. To lock or unlock distracting apps, you must scan your personal NFC tag. No taps, no bypasses — just a conscious, intentional action.
Everything runs entirely on your device. There are no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no data leaving your phone. Rot Stop is designed for one person, one iPhone, and a deep respect for your attention.
How Rot Stop Works
• Choose the apps you want to block (social media, games, shopping, or anything distracting)
• Rot Stop uses Apple’s official Screen Time APIs to shield those apps
• Scan your NFC tag to lock or unlock access
• All settings and data are stored locally on your device
