Say helps you prepare for international travel by showing exactly which communication tools are ready on your iPhone before you leave. Translation, voice input, voice playback, phrasebook content, and phonetics are reported separately, so an “Offline ready” status means what it says. If Apple needs to download a language resource, Say tells you before your trip. COMMUNICATE OFFLINE Translate typed text with Apple’s on-device Translation framework for supported, installed language pairs. Speak with on-device recognition where your iPhone supports it, then play the translation using an installed voice. KEEP ESSENTIALS CLOSE Open bundled travel phrases for greetings, directions, transport, food and dietary needs, accommodation, shopping, emergencies, and medical situations. Reviewed and machine-translated content is labeled honestly. SHOW, HEAR, OR SAVE Display translated text at full-screen size, hear it aloud, save useful phrases, and revisit recent translations. Your saved phrases, recents, language choices, and settings stay on your iPhone. Offline capability varies by language and installed Apple resources. Say reports each capability separately and never silently substitutes another language.
