Integrate your iOS device into your existing Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC) system with SMS Mobile Client for SFDC. SMS Mobile Client for SFDC brings the barcode scanning, paperless data collection, and inventory management capabilities of rugged Windows Mobile barcode scanners to your iOS device. If you need to increase the durability and barcode scanning capabilities of your iOS device, our client supports enclosures from Honeywell and Infinite Peripherals. Our mobile client requires an SFDC server product from The SMS Group or one of our partners. Compatible SFDC systems include Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems from Aptean, such as Made2Manage, Intuitive, Encompix, and Axis. Our mobile client also supports Glovia ERP, as well as SAP Business One. Very good barcode data collection app for ERP

We use this app in conjunction with out companies ERP (enterprise resource planning) package called Made2Manage. With the SMS Group's add on barcode system called Shop Floor Data Collection, we can now use our phones to query our database's inventory records and even make transactions on the shop floor. The alternative in the past has been an expensive Intermec handheld computer, which does the same thing, but the iPhone is much quicker, a better interface, and you can fit it in your pocket. Not to mention, most people already have one, so there are no expenses if you own a cell phone. The camera can even scan our barcodes, but they also support barcode scanning cases with laser scanners built in for longer distance scanning. SMS Group also listens to their customers about features and ways to make the app better. They are also very prompt in troubleshooting issues when they arise. I have very little negative to say, except the app could offer some more functionality, however this is probably more of an issue with our ERP software and SFDC talking to each other, more so then SMS Group supplying our needs.Nonetheless, the app has made major improvements this year and I look forward to seeing other ways it is improved as the mobile device revolution continues to drive software company's decisions.
