I have been using this app for a couple of years. At first I was skeptical and tested it out by sending cheapest gift i could find to my brother and sure enough it worked! All my family member live in Korea and this has been super convenient way to send my parents bday gifts and just random “i love you” gifts for my mom so that she will go out to coffee with her friends! I’ve mainly used the app for various department stores and coffee gift cards and they work so efficiently. The recipients get the gifts either via texts or kakao and able to use it right away! (Some ppl think it’s spam so remind them that it is okay to open 😅)I do wish that there were more options for different stores but hey.. the options are better now than a couple of years ago.. so I’m hopeful with more users, we will have more gifting options! I’ve been telling all my fellow 1st generation immigrant friends here who have families back in our home country. Oh, i have also used to send the gift to my best friend in Canada as well and it worked AMAAAAAZING. Thank you SodaGift. Makes my life easier.

App - Being able to send US and S.Korea is definitely an advantage since not many companies send food items as well as gift certificates after calculated currency. It offers a pretty wide variety of items so I would give it an overall good rating.Improvements - Just like how the US has Grubhub, Doordash, and Ubereats, Korea has Bae-min which is very frequently used for delivery for food items. Having a gift certificate for that company would definitely reduce having certificates for chicken or other food items that most people consume through delivery.
