I looked around at a lot of other apps that were supposed to do the same thing, they either did not work or you had to pay monthly for them. As a university student, the last thing I want to do is pay for another subscription. This app was completely free and gave me way less of a headache because it was just simple to use. I didn’t have to connect my iPad through a USB, and it connected just fine! It completely helped to save me money too because I was considering just buying a portable monitor to attach to my laptop for if I needed to get work done in the library on campus, which would’ve been $100+ for something I probably would be annoyed with using. I hope this one doesn’t end up becoming a subscription thing too, but at least I know it actually works! At first it was a little slow but you can change the FPS in the settings which fixes this issue. Thank you so much!

I just love when an app does simply one thing and does it right! And that’s not easy to do these days. I used to use Duet but stopped because they got greedy. Forget about Astropad for even higher pricing. Splashtop never worked on my work PC probably due to some security setting. And today, I really needed to use iPad as a second monitor for my work PC, and miraculously found this through googling. I skeptically downloaded this on my iPad Pro and on Windows 10 PC, and I couldn’t believe it just worked! No crazy setup steps. True plug and play. Having some issue connecting through USB, but WiFi connection was automatic w/out any issue so not complaining. Thank you!

Home Assistant user that needed something to check in every now and then without having to unplug my HDMI cable from my NVR and replug into my mini pc. Works perfectly with what I need, that is free, smooth, doesn’t crash after first use needed it to reinstall the app over and over (cough Luna Display) and not having to pay $200 bucks for basic usage (cough Duet Display). Glide X is okay but again after exiting the app, I’d need to replug a HDMI cable in again to set it up which defeats the purpose of a headless PC server.

Roughly One out of Ten times I try to use it, it works, and it’s great. Still allows touch controls, responsive and crisp picture, I like it. Nine out of Ten times when I need to use it, it can’t find my main computer to connect. I have tried everything. Reboots on phone and computer. Updating app on phone and program on computer. Praying to the digital and silicon gods. Absolutely nothing makes a difference. To say that it works once a week is giving it too much credit. Why do I still check it to see if it will work? Because that one day a fortnight it wants to go, it makes my day so much easier. Beware this one. Until I can figure something out, it remind at Two stars, because when it works, I love it. But I cannot rely on it.
