Open Spantop on your main Mac (sender) 2. Install Spantop on your second Mac, switch to Receive mode 3. Connect both Macs via Thunderbolt / USB 3.x cable or place them on the same WiFi network 4. On the sender Mac: Scan for Devices, select the receiver Mac 5. Click Connect — the receiver now shows your extended display WIRED (RECOMMENDED) • Thunderbolt / USB 3.x: lossless at full Retina resolution • Automatic WiFi failover if the cable is pulled WIRELESS • Works over any shared WiFi network • H.265 hardware encoding for smooth streaming • Zero configuration — devices discover each other automatically This is a passive second-display app. The receiver Mac displays your sender Mac's extended desktop; you control windows using your sender Mac's own keyboard and trackpad. Input on the receiver is not forwarded back to the sender. Screen Recording permission is required to capture the virtual display. No screen data is saved, transmitted to any server, or shared with third parties — frames go directly to the paired receiver Mac on your local network.
