Play on your Stem2 from your phone Your Stem2 turns up in the player at the bottom of the screen as soon as it connects. Tap it and the player hands over to the device, so any track you pick in a session plays there rather than on your phone. Tap the Stem logo when you want it back. Record straight off your Stem2 Start and stop a recording from the app, see what's saved on the device, and pull one across over Bluetooth to share it. You can now shuffle on your Stem2 Shuffle Mode in Settings > Stem2 can shuffle within the session you're playing, reach across your whole library, or stay off so a session plays through in the order you built it. Your Stem2 connects on its own Open the Stem2 tab and the app looks for your device and connects, so you can start playing without going through Settings first. Your sessions as a grid The switch at the top of your library, next to the filter, turns the list into a grid of covers. The library opens the way you left it. Go to the album a song came from "Go to Album" in any song's menu opens the record it belongs to, and anything you add from there lands in the session you were listening to, or a new one if that session isn't one you can add to. A new session gives you somewhere to start A session with nothing in it now shows the songs you played last and the ones you liked most recently, one tap from being added. Blend into a song from any session While one session plays, open another and swipe one of its songs from left to right. The music blends straight into it, and your listening carries on in that session from there. Edit a session in one place "Edit Session" replaces Rename and Session Settings with a single form for the name and who can reach it, saved together. Plus plenty of fixes and improvements

What's new Mixes now sit in your session Every mix has moved out of the strip on the left and into the list itself, between the two songs it joins. Tap it to play it, or share it from its menu. When a session ends, your suggestions play Play past the last song and the session carries straight on into the songs suggested underneath it, in the order you can see them. Suggestions keep up with your session Add a song, finish an upload or reorder the list, and the suggestions move with it. Or choose "Suggest More Like This" on any song to hold them there. Turn one song into a mix Start a session with a single song and a partner is already lined up. Press the shuffle button in the middle of the player and it blends in on the spot, and joins your session. Fix up what your uploads say "Edit Details" on any track in Uploads lets you change its cover, its title, the name you release under, and add a note for yourself. Play a song the moment you add it A song you add from a file starts playing while we're still getting it ready, and its card shows you how far along it is. Tap a song in search and it's yours Tapping a song now adds it to your session as well as playing it, on the album, artist and session pages too. Transitions and pitch in one place The button under the player opens both now: Transitions for the blend length, Strategy for how keys are matched. Your stems stay put Mute the vocals in Classic and they stay muted as you move through the session, instead of coming back on with every song. Keep your library to your own sessions Settings > Appearance can now hide Likes, Popular or Uploads from the top of your library. Recordings come back clean Pausing, or switching headphones part way through, no longer leaves gaps in what you record. Plus plenty of fixes and improvements

Change songs whenever you like Don't want to wait for the next song? Hold the skip button and the mix blends into it there and then, in time with the music. Jump to any song in the session you're playing Open the session, swipe a song from left to right, or choose "Transition to This" from its menu, and the mix glides into it instead of playing in order. A new option: No transitions Every song plays full length, and the next one starts the moment the last one ends. Forgotten your password? You can now do something about it There's a "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in screen. Signing up is safer too, you type your password twice and your phone can suggest a strong one. Popular now lives in your library What everyone's mixing sits just under your Likes, refreshed every day, ready to open or share. It's the whole chart now, thousands of songs. Turn any album into a session Open an album from search and tap "Add to Sessions". Albums now show their running order, how long the record is, when it came out and who released it. Hear suggested songs before you add them Tap a suggestion at the end of a session to play it. Nothing joins your session until you tap the "+". Shuffle from the mini player Tap the artwork in the bar at the bottom to deal a new stem configuration. Plus plenty of fixes and improvements

Music starts faster. Songs and mixes begin playing almost as soon as you tap them. Record first, play second. Recording no longer needs playback running first. Start the take, then press play when you're ready. Search in your own alphabet. The globe key now works, so you can type an artist the way you'd write it. StemFM reopens on whatever you were last playing. Your last song is waiting in the player when you come back. A new share screen for mixes. The two metaballs now merge into one, matching the player.
